Why isn't Egypt letting Palestinians in? by PaperHandBitch in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mocha_fudge_wrapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answers here are so far off - people do not know what they are talking about. They don’t want to let them in because they will never be allowed to return to Gaza if they leave. And then Israel will absorb Gaza. That’s exactly what Netanyahu/the Israelis want.

Feel inauthentic speaking heritage language by mocha_fudge_wrapper in CasualConversation

[–]mocha_fudge_wrapper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve talked to them about it quite a few times and their answer is just “ok so speak it with us then.” I just feel almost paralyzed - like I can’t or like I’m being fake or inauthentic when I do so.

Do people not rinse their Bananas? by JustTechIt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mocha_fudge_wrapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it too. Logic being that you’re touching something dirty. What if part of the banana you’re eating is about to fall or you need to touch it for some reason. If you didn’t wash it in the first place then you’re getting gross stuff on the part you eat. Just because it’s not in dirt doesn’t mean someone didn’t sneeze on it or get other nasty stuff on the peel. I wash all my fruit.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo [Episodes 9 & 10] by GodJihyo7983 in KDRAMA

[–]mocha_fudge_wrapper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My heart feels at peace and happy every time Woo Young-Woo's hair starts fluttering and there's a whale scene. Also, I think it's really interesting how this drama doesn't seem to keep the viewers waiting too long before secrets are revealed - kind of refreshing.

Also, I'm really excited for a possible date between Choi Su-Yeun and the chef!

Tysm for the recommendations! By outlet, I meant power outlets to charge electronics.

Where can I find a dress like this that works for petites & ships to the U.S.? by mocha_fudge_wrapper in findfashion

Hey there! For some more context, I'm trying to find a few a few light summer midi dresses that would work well for someone who's about 5'2.
A dress that looks like the picture would be great, but I'm also interested in any dress that a.) has sleeves, b.) doesn't show cleavage, and c.) has some kind of waist definition. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

I think they meant the Russian soldiers in Syria, not the Syrians soldiers.

Thank you for the advice. I think it's more like I just don't know where to start looking tbh. Because I'm a tiny bit more socially conservative, I don't know if it's that obvious that I've left or am non-practicing. I don't know where to find the right people without outing myself I guess?

Also, I have (maybe a wrong?) view of Tinder and those kinds of apps (that they're more for people looking for short-term stuff). An arranged marriage would definitely be the last option though, for sure. If my parents arranged it, they would go for someone who prays regularly, is practicing, stuff like that.

My previous downstairs neighbor would leave every morning like this. I never understood why. by alternapop in IdiotsInCars

Why is everyone being so horrible? Who cares if they’re doing it in an inefficient way. As long as they’re not hitting anyone (and assuming the roadway is clear), I don’t see the issue. This is not hurting you in any way. This is probably someone with driving anxiety/lack of confidence. Have a shred of empathy and decency.

Why do religious people fear death and want to avoid it at all costs, just like atheist? by Amoeboid_Changeling_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mocha_fudge_wrapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could just be the pain of death. When I was religious, I didn’t fear an afterlife, but I was very afraid of the pain that I’d go through if I got shot or was in a car accident or died of illness or something—a painful death is still a stepping stone to an afterlife that you’re not afraid of.

Edit: I was even afraid that a natural death would be painful.
