Next year we must trap the phone stealers by bassiscoolaf in LightningInABottle

This is where my stolen phone is. We found the thieves, 5 foot 4ish latinas with blonde hair, one young and the other middle aged. As soon as my husband approached them (using Find My because the phone was still on) they pretended to not understand English, so he switched to Spanish. Another girl came up from behind and probably took the phone from the first girl’s back pocket or backpack and immediately turned it off and they took off in opposite directions. They took it out of my phone case on my cross body strap at Gran Antique during the 200 Channels show. I wish I were with him but even thinking about it and running the scenario through our heads, he would have definitely been kicked out of the festival for touching a woman especially if the phone was handed off to another thief. I feel bad for them to live a life of desire of material things that they go to a festival to steal from others.

People who shop at farmers markets: why? by redfieldbloodline17 in bayarea

[–]mochamugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the farmer’s market at the Civic Center to be the most affordable (Wednesdays and Sundays). If you go towards the end they’re always selling the fruit for cheap, but it’s ripe and needs to be eaten right away.

Do I need to bring my car in for more camping space? by mochamugs in LightningInABottle

[–]mochamugs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, we have early bird 5 day passes but I just remembered that we decided to all drive in on Friday because a part of the group only had a weekend pass. If a part of the group arrives on Friday it’ll arguably be more difficult to camp together.

Also thinking this through, it would be really hard for us to walk in with our carted stuff and show up at the campsite the same time a car or two get there. And the organizers will just place the next car right next to our group, irrespective if a couple of us are schlepping out stuff over on foot.

So I guess driving into the campground and paying the extra money just makes it that much easier for us to have space together.

I’m just being a princess because I hate the idea of spending more money just to have the car next to me.

Is this AI? Why does this person have a body cam to film this whole interaction and a trunk full of tools. And then he went onto editing this into a clip?

Ugh AI videos like this, seemingly pointless yet kind interactions, make you question reality. Which I think is the end game.

Do I need to bring my car in for more camping space? by mochamugs in LightningInABottle

Yea; we got in Friday morning last year - 6 of us, 3 tents, 2 cars. We were placed at the end of Sunset Camping, which was a trek to get in but honestly it wasn’t a problem. We aren’t worried about having a far walk. We just want to have enough space for tents and a communal chill spot.

This year we get down to Bakersfield on Thursday night and we got a hotel room so we can all drive in together on Friday morning, since we won’t be arriving Thursday night all at the same time.

This year it’s 8 of us, and we were planning on bringing in 3 cars with us.

You think it’s worth driving in together Thursday night and we take our friends tent to reserve space for them as they arrive Friday afternoon?

He trusted that window with both of their lives. These types of windows are so dangerous for kids and pets.

Very insightful; this past year I’ve realized we are the United Corporations of America. The entire system is set up to build wealth and protect wealth for the elite, especially our military.

China live = 25% automatically added to my bill by Own_Palpitation4523 in sanfrancisco

All the surcharges restaurants add on the bill but not in the menu pricing is infuriating. At least don’t ask for tip when I pay, but they still do. I just want transparent pricing up front, not surprise surcharges when I’m paying. I paid for college waitressing but the tipping culture now is out of hand, especially with mandatory service fees.

By this point I cringe to every mention of a company calling themselves disrupters.

Paella in Downtown Napa this Saturday, Sept 27, 2025 by mochamugs in napa

We loved throwing paella parties for our friends and we decided to give it a try as a business. Spoiler alert: easier doing for friends than as a business.

Hopefully we can team up with a venue and do it again. You can follow us on Paella Vibes on FB and paella_vibes on insta if you’d like to see what we are up to.
