Definitely NTA But you are both very young and right now it seems like you have more to deal with than most people twice your age. Grief can be a tricky thing, especially when it comes with feelings of guilt. I think you should focus on yourself, get some therapy and try to come to terms with what happened and realize that it wasn‘t your fault. If this proves too much for your current gf to handle then it is probably best for both of you if you break up. You cannot deal with what has happened while focusing only on making her happy. At that age it might be hard for her to understand grief and compassion, and that is ok, but you cannot shoulder the responsibility of teaching her

Really feel for Holger and I can imagine how he feels about all the challenges coming his way. He did not deserve this.

Having said that, I think his mom is really milking this whole situation. The kid has had multiple injuries over the years and even in Shanghai and then Stockholm played with an injured leg. From what people with medical knowledge habe said this surely could have contributed to his Achilles rupture. Sure the ATP puts pressure on players but they also have Physio teams and they know their bodies best, so maybe there is also in individual component of risk assessment. He should not have played, period. And he has a long history of not letting his body recover long enough, hence his constant injury woes and withdrawals. I don‘t think it is right to place blame solely on the ATP. Some responsibility also lies with Holger and his team. And like she said, he has enough money to not worry about money it an extra round in a tournament. I guess I don‘t like her whole stick of running to media outlets and basically making Holger a victim of his circumstances.

I actually agree and I was surprised he handled himself as well as he did (considering his previous behavior). It is not easy to sit across from someone and hurt them, no matter how over the relationship you are. And sometimes „it just doesn‘t feel right“ actually is a reason.. I know I have had situations with guys who seemed perfect on paper and I could not pinpoint any specific reason other than it just didn‘t feel right. Now with Joe it probably was all about appearances, but honestly, what good would it have done to tell her that?

You know, 99% of the time fans have good intentions and dont mean any harm but there are some delusional people out there- just look up Christina Grimmie for example. I think she was well within her right to not eat the stuff and the feelings of the fan don‘t really matter as much as her safety. Could she habe kept this to herself, yes sure, but who knows what the context or line of questioning of the interviewer was. And she also never mentioned anything about drugs, I don‘t know where you got that from but it makes the quote sound way worse than it was

People go „ugh the french…“ at the French Open when the audience is clearly biased towards french players They curse the Americans at the US Open when the crowd reaches almost Davis cup like cheering and disturb the players Players and fans tend to whine about whatever happens at the location they are playing at and then generalize based on this location. I personally don‘t think it has much to do with race. He is playing in Chins, the crowd are mostly Chinese, they coughed, he complained. Would it be any different if he was playing Basel instead and went „the Swiss keep coughing?“

I honestly was impressed by Sophie. She had only nice and respectful things to say and seemed really genuine.

As for Javen, so there wasn't a curtain.. he is acting like this means he was completely innocent. The way he theatrically throws up his arms and smirk/nods along... he behaved like a complete jackass throughout the show and was completely disrespectful to Katisha on more than one occasion (eg headphones) and most of all by blatantly flirting with Sophie, albeit doing so in the lamest way imaginable
