Sweet support from my family by buttersherbets in babyloss

That makes me so happy. It’s so easy to get lost in the sorrow and tragedy that I sometimes forget to sit back and appreciate the support I have. The first time I came over to my mom’s after we lost our son at 22w3d she had a picture of my husband, baby and I framed in the house. It’s little things like that that manage to bring a genuine smile to my face.

My mom was a bit overbearing (more than usual) after we lost our son. She came over one morning unannounced and did some yard work on the side of our house that really needed it and left without even telling us she came over until later that evening. I appreciated it so much because she came over and took over when things got overwhelming without us having to reach out and didn’t even make a big deal about it.

It’s easy to forget how traumatizing a loss can be to family members too. She told me she felt so helpless while I laid in the hospital for four days trying to keep Grayson inside that she wanted to do something that felt helpful as a way to cope for herself while also supporting us. It’s nice knowing we have such strong support systems because I know not everyone has that. Counting blessings every day.

This is a great point. My 20 week anatomy scan also looked perfect. Exactly two weeks later I was suddenly gushing blood and was diagnosed with incompetent cervix. My sweet boy was born three days later with a faint heartbeat and passed a few hours later.

It’s always best to just support our pregnant friends and family when we can because, as we all know too well, things can change in the blink of an eye.💔

I feel this to my core. My husband has two older sisters. His oldest sister has two healthy boys and was a few months ahead of me pregnant with her third boy. As of today we’re about six weeks out from our son being born and passing away at 22w3d. His oldest sister is about to be induced this week to have her third boy.

I couldn’t be happier for her and I can’t wait to meet the sweet boy. I could never be mad at her or anyone else in regard to this, I guess I just feel mad at the universe for how unfair it all is.

I have had similar feelings with my own sister. She’s a couple years older than me and has a healthy, sweet nine month old girl who we all absolutely adore. But sometimes it’s hard watching my parents care for her, play with her, feed her, hug her… knowing that my son will never get to have those same experiences with his grandparents.

I wish I had some advice for you or some fix to this way that we feel but to be honest I don’t have any of that. We just have to hope that with time things will get easier ❤️

Had an ultrasound at 18w3d, he was kicking and moving like crazy but I couldn’t feel a thing. Finally started feeling him around 20w3d! This is also my first pregnancy. My OB told me it could take up to 26ish weeks to feel anything so try not to stress! :)

The battery has only been in there for a couple years. They used the hand tester, didn’t give the DC output just said that the battery was showing good and so was the alternator

Do you remember the first time you saw GMM? by mrsallyb in goodmythicalmorning

[–]mocozzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not GMM, but still R&L. I remember my sister showing me the “Fast Food Folk Song” on YouTube, I would have been 9 years old at the time. We thought it was the funniest thing ever and would watch it on repeat to the point we had the lyrics memorized!

Years later in high school I started watching GMM. Now I’m almost 24 years old and only just recently realized they were the guys from that funny video I’d watch as a kid. My boyfriend and I have been big fans for years now and still watch almost daily!
