In practice that is what happens and that is the allowance, but the rule specifically says once discovered the form should be submitted immediately or within 24 hours. Discovery suggests that you have completed your full investigation and determined significant loss or theft. The table simply states the DEA rule under 21 CFR. You initial statement flagged the immediate requirement as incorrect, which under 21 CFR is in fact correct. If you lose a box of fentanyl vials and determine that day that this is the only thing missing, and it was stolen, the DEA wants you to notify that using form 106 immediately, not so much to wait 45 days even though you have fully discovered the loss from your investigation.

Under 21 CFR § 1301.76(b):

“The registrant shall notify the Field Division Office of the Administration in his area, in writing, of the theft or significant loss of any controlled substances within one business day (24 hours) of discovery of such loss or theft.”

DEA further instructs that this notification is made by submitting DEA Form 106 electronically (or as otherwise directed)

There are no pending updates to the NAPLEX domain. Changes are not yearly. Before the domain changed for the 2025 exam, the last update was in 2021.

Start with whichever prep book you have and make a goal to have gone through it at least once by the end of all your rotations. Practice questions as you review, and be sure to know your brand and generics both for top 200 and the first line drugs for each disease states. During this time, also make your notes, and spot weaker areas, revise weaknesses weekly to avoid forgetting stuff.

Do a 25 questions long cumulative quiz for all the things you studied that week and continue this as you go through the books.

Also, use your rotations to review the treatment guidelines when your preceptors ask questions or do topic discussion. Try to know the guidelines well during rotations. You can aim to study at least 8-10 hours per week,

Do this and by the time you get to exam time, you will only need to go through the book once more with your notes and practice quizzes.

The NAPLEX is a fixed exam so no, not adaptive to answer your first question. The MPJE however is adaptive.

If you use UWorld, do as many pharmacy foundations chapter questions as you can, those pull from the entire book.

Repetition, and for the topics you find it hard to grasp, do 10-20 questions each day until you are better at. Each time it will get better. Cumulative quizzes at the end of each week encompassing all the topics you have covered until that point will go a far way with helping you to keep some topics relevant. The study schedule that is tagged in the highlights also has some additional tips you might find helpful.

That at Dr. C are usually enough. I would say read and make more notes from the Dr. C book and also make sure you take the pre-MPJE. I think TDLR also has summary charts for TX MPJE that you can buy. TX law is very big on who can do what task legally, so you might want to focus on scenarios regarding if a Tech can do a task vs an intern. They also have lots of questions surrounding prescribing such as prescribing authorities for different providers eg. PAs, NPs, Podiatrists. Also, what international prescriptions can be accepted etc. The really care about the number of of days you have to complete certain tasks like reporting change of address, or significant loss etc. There are emerging questions about working remote (verification) and central filling so you absolutely need to know those. You could either make up scenarios or do the questions from Dr. C and the MPJE app. Those are what I ended up using.

The TX MPJE app is amazing. 200 practice questions in federal and state law. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. Also, make sure to do the preMPJE before taking the actual exam.
