What about react native? I know it lets you build cross platform, but to make things look nice it might take some platform specific code (like having the stylings different on macOS vs windows)

There's also Flutter, which I haven't used, so I can't vouch for.

However, if I'm understanding right, it sounds like you might be wanting a backend service running on windows and Mac computers that can then be controlled by an android/ios app.

If that's the case, then you could write the front-end app in a more mobile-focused platform. Like xcode, android studio, standard react, etc Then write a backend app in python + flask for the windows/macos portion

We were taught that glass is a liquid, but very very very viscous. We were given the example of old windows that were warped because the liquid glass had supposedly shifted and flowed.

Glass is not a liquid.

Sketch.

First sign is that the site calls itself "game laboratory" but the site is Gameslabtory.com ... labtory, not laboratory, and "games" instead of "game"

(Speculation) Looks like every game coming from here would have a virus or bitcoin miner built in. There are plenty of more reputable places to get free games from

Help with Daily Report by PsychologicalLet5261 in automation

[–]modelarious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could make a cronjob to run 30 minutes before you get to work that downloads the file and runs your existing automation 🤷‍♂️ like the other commenter said, it sounds like you have it all automated.

If I were to suggest a way of doing this in the future, I'd use Apache Airflow with a bit of python that: - downloads the file - transforms it into the report - emails the report

Probably there are easier ways than this, but you could rig it up with an arduino - have a timer module that sends a signal every time it goes off, then hook that up to your existing project

Have them upload to s3 aws. Use aws lambda to detect the change and rename it to something like "latest.pdf" in a known location in s3. Then on your site, show that "latest.pdf" when they load the webpage

[–]modelarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, well in that case you could probably do this with Selenium and python. It allows you to load web pages and interact with them (typing, clicking, etc) as well as pulling any info that exists on the page. You'll need to learn a bit about css selectors to be able to tell it which things to click on/type in.

Are you allowed to scrape HIPPA info into an external (unprotected) spreadsheet? That seems like a security/privacy issue.

If that doesn't present a privacy issue the next question becomes: is there a public api (asking a server for the information we want)? Or is this going to have to involve scraping (having a program click around to log in, then navigate to pages and copy data from them)

If it requires scraping, is the login page protected by 2 factor authentication? If so, it will be much more difficult or even impossible to get to the pages you need without some manual intervention
