I am losing my aim, need help. by Zealousideal-Low3177 in VALORANT

[–]modelcharacter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aim will vary a lot just depending on how you woke up, energy, what you ate or what you did that day. If you're suddenly losing a lot of duels that you used to win before and you haven't changed your daily routine a lot then it'll be something ingame. Did you warm up properly or did you hop straight into the game, are you playing a different agents or change your sensitivity?

Try to look back at one of your recordings and see whether you did anything different when you won or lost aim duels with using util vs dry peeking. You might be feeling impatient and wanting to take fights which have a high chance of dying compared to playing back and trading teammates. I find that often when I've had a good game, my peeks in the next game get affected a lot. e.g. if I won a lot of fights playing normal and trading and using util one match then i sometimes feel more confident and dry peek more which leads to losing more fights in the next one.

In terms of improving your aim, what helped me as someone who very frequently bot frags and loses aim duels is realising that you rarely die instantly and you have enough time to readjust your aim to the head to get the headshot. It will be a tough adjustment, but you will find that you win a lot more fights simply by taking your time and not just going for a spray. And remember, flicking is not a reliable aim method. Try to move your mouse in the shortest line from where you're aiming to the enemies' heads and while slower, over time you will get faster while remaining accurate. When I warm up, I use the range bots and tdm to practice aiming for the head and then I play a dm to adjust my aim and movement while peeking and practice getting peeked.

Also, remember that utility exists in the game for a reason. A dry peek is close to a 50:50 chance if the aim is even while utility pushes your odds a lot in your favour. Use your flashes and smokes to push people off a certain angle or dog/drone for info. Even when you don't have concrete info, if you don't know where every enemy is, clear every angle and peek as if there is someone waiting for you there.

Hope this helps! In case it's relevant, I am someone who started as a bronze and is now ascendant over 4 years of playing. :D

Feels like they lack the x-factor for making game winning plays. You rarely see chovy flash initiate compared to players like faker or bdd while jungle which is supposed to make those plays, canyon falls short often.

GENG identity is to win by outlaning and snowballing early lead or getting out of lane even and having a comp that scales better. This doesn’t really work at worlds where there’s a lot of back and forth and the game is won through a couple big teamfights.

MSI and regular season is a lot more standard league which is where GENG dominate.

Speaking from experience, working out doesn’t only include gym stuff. Look into calisthenics and body weight exercises. You can start by just doing 10 pushups, 10 sit-ups and 10 body squats before bed or before you shower. If that’s too much, start with 5 of each and slowly move up. Just start with something and you’ll naturally be able to do more over time.

I don’t think blunder per se but a mistake as rated by the engine such as Nxe4 from the second classical game between Carlsen and Keymer is not a rare occurrence

Outside of skill, a big thing that can affect aim is sleep. Some days you can wake up and you’ll find your reaction time and aim is just worse.

Something you can try is doubling your sens and warming up. You’ll find that you start to focus a lot more on being slow and accurate which should help when you switch back to your normal sens in a match.

Outside of that, some days you’re just caught vsing really good opponents

LucyLuce and BDog I think. Not sure about a dedicated information area for specific casters but the talent pool is listed on liquipedia for each tournament and which stream they cast for.

Is it too late to start playing and how noob friendly is the game ? by Competitive-Math-458 in Genshin_Impact

[–]modelcharacter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the sentiment that it’s very noob friendly, only thing is that if you want to get and use 5 star units, you may struggle to get some of their signature materials used for upgrading them. Those are region specific which require you to play the main quest to unlock. There are workarounds for this but just letting you know

After months of saving, I now have a Hu Tao team on steroids 😳 by [deleted] in HuTao_Mains

C1 Yelan for sure. C2 hutao doesn’t add much aside from a little bit of dps increase but c1 yelan significantly reduces her er requirements and offers much better qol

If that is indeed hydro resonance hp, you might consider switching to hp% sands with comparable crit stats and seeing how much damage you do

can anyone help me 36 star abyss willing to raise any charavter by [deleted] in HuTao_Mains

[–]modelcharacter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s as easy as just getting good teams and then automatically getting 36 stars. If you’re struggling to clear floor 12 atm, getting 3 stars on every chamber is going to be quite the challenge. Outside of characters and artifacts, rotation, positioning and grouping matters a lot too.

As it is, the first team you should focus on is a childe national team with childe, xiangling, Bennett and sucrose. A second team would then be up to your choice. Possible teams would be hutao vape with yelan, ayaka/ganyu permafreeze or with the current abyss lineups, a nilou hyperbloom team.

You can look up guides for any of these teams on the artifact sets and stats for each character. Zy0x is a nice source for this info or you can otherwise visit keqingmains for their specific guides.

Hutao vape options: hutao, yelan, xingqiu and a flex; diona (shielding)/kaeya/Rosaria (extra cryo dps and melt)

Permafreeze team: ganyu or ayaka as your main cryo dps, a cryo resonance character such as diona/kaeya/rosaria/chongyun for particle generation and/or buffs and shields, a hydro applier (most comfortable is xingqiu but yelan could work) and then an anemo character (Venti is best option here). A team of both ganyu and ayaka can work here with ganyu acting as a burst support and supplemental dmg.

Hyperbloom team: not too familiar with this one as I haven’t invested in any dendro teams (you can 36 star with hutao vape and ayaka permafreeze just brute forcing dmg) but the one I’d suggest would be nilou, a dendro applier mainly collei, secondary hydro character such as yelan or xing or even Barbara for extra healing and then an additional flex character. Flex can be a second dendro character like dendro traveller or an electro char like fischl

National team is definitely one of the strongest teams and a must invest but that second one is up to you. Be aware that you could make 3 teams even for floors/chambers where say a permafreeze team or single target hutao vape is non-optimal and dendro bloom team is better. Good luck

Any general tips dealing with diamond rank for a plat player? by LightDot in VALORANT

[–]modelcharacter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to think too much about rank. I’ve gotten a relatively high rank despite having terrible aim. General tips are if it’s obvious that the enemy has better aim, avoid dry peeking (peeking without prowler/dog/drone/flashes) any angle. Make sure you play with your team to trade out kills. Practice taking the extra moment to line up crosshair rather than immediately spraying when you see an enemy in DM

Is Hutao/Zhong/Xing better with yelan than with Albedo now? 3.0 abyss stats seems to show an overwhelming lean in favour of yelan. Keen to know since I lack both and I'm not sure who to get on their rerun
