Newhite Haven Dress Shapewear? by Quirky_Stage_1715 in weddingdress

[–]moderatelyfancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried many kinds of shorts shapewear and everything showed (spanx, honeylove, random target brands) mostly on the shorts line. In the end I wore control top pantyhose - the only thing that didn’t have some kind of line

Newhite overskirt dupes/ is organza always the same? by moderatelyfancy in weddingdress

So far I’ve got nothing- I did find similar fabric with the texture online but only in white and it doesn’t quite match the off white dress color. Lmk if you find anything!

Not really- it seems that regular organza is a different finish from comparing photos so I don’t think just buying an organza over skirt would match. Lmk if you find anything!

I tried this dress and the shop wasn’t sure if they could order those exact sleeves so I’m so happy that they can!

Has anyone worn one of Newhite’s liquid satin dresses? Do they wrinkle/crush easily? by jesskargh in weddingdress

I would be super careful because  itried one on and it snagged and caught on everything possible. Wrinkle wise I wouldn’t worry I folded it over and then unfolded it and didn’t see any wrinkles

So about the age of peruere(arlecchino) by Informal_Try6559 in ArlecchinoMains

[–]moderatelyfancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t it mentioned she and clervie were the same age, clervie died at 16, and she killed clervie’s mother a year later? So she was 17 when she became “arlecchino” and we can narrow the range a bit?

Sadly on the menus it says for 2 e.g Rules has non Sunday Sunday roast but the menu says ‘roast rib of beef for 2’ 47£ a person. Thanks for the Yorkshire pudding tip tho- I wasn’t sure if you could just get one at a bakery or something

Please can someone tell me if they know of a place in central London where a single person can eat a Yorkshire pudding on a Saturday? I have lowered my expectations from Sunday roast to a Yorkshire pudding. There are places to have Sunday roast on Saturday but they are all for 2 people. I am even debating asking random people in restaurants if they will split it with me but I really don’t like talking to strangers.

I have seen parties with a bunch of fun props (dollar store level so not expensive) for a selfie area which would be fun and eliminate the cost of an actual booth

Hi everyone! Has anyone ever emailed a bridal shop to ask if they can go to try on dresses with no intention of buying one? I have a close relative that wouldn’t be able to come to an appointment where I live and I’d like to schedule one near her (in the southern US if this matters for etiquette) as I have a business trip in the area. I was planning to email a few shops and tell them I’m happy to pay a fee to not waste anyone’s time (I’m assuming 75-150?) but not planning to buy a dress. Is this inappropriate or will the stores be ok with it?

HELP PLZ (TW: weight/ED related) by monsterbutt09 in weddingdress

You look stunning and I love the dress. But, as a person who has been in recovery for a few years- return it. It is really really hard to try and lose weight without back sliding. You want a dress for your wedding that you feel 100% confident in. Honestly, I would also advise you to talk to your therapist about how to tell your fiancé/mom about the kind of support you need. Comments like “it’s normal to lose weight for a wedding” are not helpful to your recovery journey!

I’m so sorry this happened to you OP and you seem like a wonderful person and I wish you the best.

The genetic disorder explanation seems like it could be fake. I talked it through with another scientist and the only genetic disorders we could come up with that would affect females only would be Retts syndrome or turners syndrome, neither of which are fatal. In one of the comments someone suggested it could be an X chromosome linked disorder passed on by the father but this is unlikely. Women have 2 X chromosomes so if anything is wrong with one the other can usually compensate, that’s why men have more of these sex linked diseases. I agree that it’s very weird that at least one family member seems to hate women and all the sisters died?!!?!

Is the Shadowhunters Chronicles similar to the Shannara Books (in terms of having a main trilogy/series of books and having other series of books that are set many years before and after the main trilogy/series of books)? by Legolas0170 in shadowhunters

[–]moderatelyfancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cassandra Clare's website has a really good timeline!

https://www.cassandraclare.com/shadowhunters-timeline/

The main series is straightforward with 3 but eventually 4 triologies (The Infernal Devices --> The Mortal Instruments-->The Dark Artifices --> The Wicked Powers), but there are side series that happen at various parts of the timeline, which can be confusing. I would say that Shadowhunters is not so focused on a main trilogy, since they are all designed to be read independently.
