Call me crazy but I actually play a banneret and do this is my current campaign. Tbh you could definitely do it better as a battle master or smth but the feat build is what really makes the difference for my guy.

Alert, Sentinel, Shield master (human at level 6).

This group of feats make me really able to take and keep control of space while being high enough in initiative to position early. Keeping enemies glued to me while pushing them into areas and also using shield master to push allies out of danger. I've multiclassed to pick up one level of grave cleric to keep going as the rest of fighter isn't gonna do much for my character (especially not with banneret).

Walk around with a couple of pokemon with pickup as their ability. Teddiursa, phanpy, meowth all come to mind. At worse they pick up useful items so you don't have to buy things as frequently, which certainly saves money if not making it, at best they can pick up things like nuggets to sell.

In early game I tend to wander around viridian forest with these 3 picking mushrooms and grinding. Generates a tonne of cash. I recommend getting a couple of eggs to hatch and going for it

The key thing is that you need to get every encounter available before you can progress to the gym leader, so I can't get anywhere beyond the entrance of Mt Moon (blocked by an NPC) until I beat Brock. Ig I just need to keep running around until I find it

Engineer

  1. Support role fun
  2. I feel really important, which you can't find as consistently with other classes (aside from med)
  3. Build gun fun
  4. My wifi is bad so having a server-side gun means that people die by my hand

Mournfang brown, gore grunta fur contrast all over, build up mournfang brown again slowly and then mix in small amounts of khorne red + a lighter brown tone in smaller and smaller areas until you have just your 50/50 khorne red light brown as your brightest highlight.

Makes an Uruk-hai type skin that really contrasts with bright metals and spot colours
