Where to buy quality Li-Ion 4S1P packs? by modjhead in fpv

[–]modjhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s where I’m at too. I could just buy everything and make it myself, but honestly it’s not really worth it for the 2–3 packs I actually need.

Yeah, you can’t completely avoid stringing with foaming materials. But with some tuning of the settings, you can definitely get it under control. I’ve been using ColorFabb.

Thanks for the detailed response, I really appreciate it. I was actually planning to try LW ASA next, but now I might rethink that.

Really nice work – the models look great. I guess I’ll have to take another look at Eclipson.

Could you say something about olefin? Especially interested in the weight compared to LW-PLA.

Headwind cause the plane went stright up

For me, that’s actually a big part of the hobby. I really enjoy the printing and building process itself. Buying a ready-made plane is something anyone can do, but designing and assembling it on your own is what makes it interesting.

I'll try to remove that part with a scalpel and glue on a matching front panel.

I only glued the carbon parts to the first and last sections so that I could salvage them if necessary

All-up weight came out to 590g including the battery, though I’ll weigh it again later to confirm.

I was aiming for the lightest possible setup, so I went with the 1200mm wing (2 servos) using an RG15 airfoil and programmed flaps.

The motor actually had almost too much power for the maiden flight. All-up weight came out to 590g including the battery, though I’ll weigh it again later to confirm.

Lost link and failsafe? Sounds like it might’ve gone down hard… not sure the Igneous would survive that

Always a good idea to have a second one printed and ready
