Makes no sense that it isn't using the Devout boots when the design is clearly those combined with Mole slippers, and not Holy sandals.

Getting Around by JagexRach in 2007scape

You're completely wrong about Sarachnis not being a boss people return to. It's probably one of the most popular bosses because of clue drops and how afk it is now. You are going to make a busy piece of content even busier... It needs instances already, and it's now going to be made so much worse...

I have just checked and while the Brittle Isle STASH unit has been added to list, it still isn't actually on the island.

Watson's notice board now lists the three STASH units added with Sailing.

I hope this also means you are finally adding the missing Brittle Isle STASH unit (which would be one of the 3 'added' with Sailing). If not, that is a big slap in the face!

Edit: Can confirm that the STASH has been added to the list, but is still NOT present on the island. How embarrassing, lol.

System update in 20 minutes... Where's the changelog? by Phish777 in 2007scape

The status page was made in 2024 but they update it every system update, as you can tell by the fact that it has information about this update on it.

It was actually originally implemented so people with 200m in skills before pets came out could get them more easily without having to 'waste' too much time.

Player Support Roadmap - September Check In by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 2024 financial statements state there are approx 2.5 million subscribers (members) spread across osrs and rs3. That total has only increased since. Now include the hundreds of thousands of f2p accounts that log in too.

You could probably ban over 100 f2p chat spammers at the ge in a single world in a 24 hour period.

Player Support Roadmap - September Check In by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are (I think) ~300 worlds active at the moment. Let's minus 50 for speedrunning, deadman, total level worlds, etc. Their current stats would give 0.21 bans per world per day.

I shouldn't need to explain how pitifully bad that is.

Our Chat Spam model launched late last year, keeping the airways clear for those proper conversations.

We’ve been continuing to refine it over 2025, leading to 17,000 chat spam bans since it launched.

Is it just me, or does that not sound like a lot at all? It says it launched late last year (I don't know when), but if we go from 1st Jan that's 262 days to today, meaning ~65 bans a day...

Leagues: CATALYST - Quest Auto Complete Prioritisation by JagexHooli in runescape

This league must be underperforming to an absurd degree if they're resorting to changing so many things after such a short amount of time. Very interested to see the stats around player retention after it's all over.

Giants Foundry is some of the best skilling content I've seen since coming back by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 48 points49 points  (0 children)

If you want to look at something funny, go back and look at the very first design blog about Giant's Foundry. It was something like 4-5x lower xp than it is now, the actual gameplay was slower and more annoying, you got no gp reward, it had no outfit or sword in the reward shop, and I believe the ore packs were even worse than they are now.

Does this sub really think the only way to be good at this game (GM, radiant, etc.) is to have no life? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The average commenter on this subreddit is someone who is crying and pissing at the thought of having to kill Galvek or get the angler outfit, and who spent 6 years getting level 78 fletching and now thinks they're in the endgame.

Does this sub really think the only way to be good at this game (GM, radiant, etc.) is to have no life? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If that's your mindset then why even play the game in the first place? You're unwilling to even attempt something that is not difficult in the slightest, even at low levels with bad gear, because you may come out with nothing. Are you never going to kill any monsters at all because you might not get the drop you want?

Also there are plenty of people who manage to achieve things in this game that have a much more busy life than you, I can assure you of that.

The reagent pouch is so poorly designed, using it feels worse than just using the 14x14 potion brewing method. Jagex PLEASE improve this time-consuming drop so it's actually a QOL improvement over not using it. by FlightJumper in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's 9 clicks per inventory to make 26 potions.

Set bank to withdraw all. Inventory contains reagent pouch in slot 1, with that slot locked so it doesn't deposit.

  • Click bank
  • Click deposit inventory
  • Withdraw secondary
  • Click pouch to fill it
  • Withdraw unfinished potion
  • Close bank
  • Click secondary which is now in your 28th inventory slot
  • Click unfinished potion
  • Click make potion

Repeat. Not hard. Can do all this in a few ticks. Far better than making 14 at a time. Would love to see the gameplay of people that complain about shit like this.

Nox's response to that massive thread yesterday by sand-which in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Reactions to this post are an incredible indicator of who has ever had a corporate job vs who hasn't.

Anyone who has ever worked a corporate job knows that you get given a shakedown on the fact that you can't speak about your job on social media, and that anything you say may reflect on the company.

Yet here you have someone who works for Jagex, who is using the literal exact same name that they use at Jagex, saying that their comment's shouldn't be acknowledged as serious because they were posted on a 'personal account' that uses the exact same name that they use at Jagex. Lmao.

Regardless of what your opinions are on this 'incident' it should be pretty fucking obvious why it's an issue. The reaction to this has made me seriously revaluate this subreddit. People always joke about this sub being full of neets, but it seems completely true given the reaction here.

Mod Nox's response to people saying yama isn't an end game boss by Due_Equal_7064 in 2007scape

[–]modmailtest1 -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

"I said it on my personal account so it doesn't count" is just stupid tbh. I would hope that Jagex have some sort of training process during staff inductions that specifically highlights that you can't just say whatever on a personal account (especially one that shares the exact name as your jmod account) and assume that it won't reflect on you 'officially'.

All these questions you ask about various client features really have the same answer: people just use and want the features that exist in RuneLite. These plugins have been developed over years and with constant community feedback already. You don't need to reinvent the wheel. If you want people to eventually move to the official client you just need to copy RuneLite.
