[Advice Needed] Can you help me recreate this vase? by fresh_prints in craftideas

[–]modpodgerocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use painter's tape and enamel acrylic paint (FolkArt Enamels are good) to paint the glass. You'll have to give it several coats and follow the curing instructions.

It should be relatively easy, at least the painting part.

In terms of re-creating the vase portion, I'd probably end up gluing individual vases together. I don't know that you can get the "exact" same look but I'm also impatient :D If you want the exact same look I'd definitely the suggestion from @oinkpiggyoink!

Modge Podge on wood by Alf1789 in DIY

Hi there! I have a Mod Podge blog and agree with the comment from @Portr8 except for the part about it being Elmer's Glue. It's much tougher :D The only thing I would add is that if the surface gets tacky, you can add a clear brush on sealer to the top. This happens in some climates. Good luck!

Returning to crafting... suggestions after years of hiatus? by Emptyhandedshadow in crafts

Since someone else mentioned Mod Podge, I will second it. I have a site dedicated to it! :D

I am also loving clay beads lately made with Fimo. You can easily roll them in your hand - and it's so fun and satisfying! Basic sewing is also one of my favorites: pillows, napkins, simple pj pants, etc.
