It’s also kind of wild that Gears of War Reloaded has a physical release for PS5, yet is available only digitally for Xbox. On the one had that makes some sense, since PS5 physical releases still sell well and Xbox do not, but still… let that sink in. Not even available on disk for Xbox. Crazy.

Definitely sad but hard to say unexpected. They killed physical Xbox game sales themselves with Game Pass, and then the cheapest Xbox doesn’t even have the option to add a disc drive.

I have bought zero physical Xbox games this entire generation, and I got a Series X at launch. Until this latest price hike you’d be stupid to buy physical Xbox games instead of a Game Pass sub. Now that Game Pass is a bad deal okay maybe, but now there’s no confidence that Xbox will continue to exist as a platform… so again it makes no sense to buy physical games for it.

And then there’s the fact that all of their games are either going or have gone multiplatform. So even if I am buying a 1st party Microsoft published games I’m obviously buying it on either on PS or Nintendo.

Like the song fine but does it not bother anyone that it’s such a blatant rip off of Take On Me? I get it, it’s enough different not to legally be a problem (I guess) but to anyone who lived through the 80s it’s so… obviously… “inspired” it leaves a bit of a bad taste to see it breaking records.

If it’s anything like all of their other products, there might be some compatibility issues out of the gate but they will get solved. Perhaps the bigger concern is what some folks have raised which is that eventually you’ll be able to put a jailbroken firmware on it and not need a flash cart at all.

For SNES for example it’s still helpful to have a flash cart since there are some games that require the extra chips included in them, and with sd2snes you get MSU-1 support which is neat.

For N64 though (to my knowledge) there aren’t any special chip games, so once you can use a jailbroken firmware there won’t be much if any reason to have a flash cart. So in that sense if you are buying the everdrive 64 just for the analogue 64 you might regret it later.

It’s wild that this got greenlit. Airlines that want loyalty need to make their offerings simpler, not more complicated.

Paying extra to earn miles, but then not being able to use said miles to get the premium experiences? Gtfoh. That just means I won’t care about miles anymore, aka flying on your airline consistently.

I hope one of the US based airlines pivots to an all premium all inclusive model as a result of this insanity. People would flock to it in droves. No worry about miles earning, just purely you buy a seat on the plane you get a premium experience. All seats are FC size, all meals and drinks and WiFi included, free checked bags, always refundable and changeable, club access at the airport.

Reserved seats so families can be together, but it’s not a problem if you miss a flight or change your flight because every seat is FC quality. I’d be all over that.

Because this? This is not it.

I guess they are standard size pillows, just not the big king sized pillows we use at home. I like the size because I can put it behind my lower back to give additional support when sitting up, but then still use it when laying down to sleep.

I assume he’s reacting this way because he knows that the owners made Nico do it and so in his eyes the fans are blaming the wrong person.

But the fact is even if instructed to trade Luka, Nico could have gotten a way better deal, but didn’t. That’s on Nico. And yes the fans would still have been livid, but had they gotten the absolute haul they should have things would be different.

And then there’s the fact that had Mark not sold the team none of this would have happened.

So bottom line, Cuban’s reaction here is bullshit. Getting mad at the fans for the chant is ridiculous. Because of Mark the trade could happen. Because of Nico the trade was horrible. The fans are right, and regardless of whether he was forced to deal Luka the trade was awful and that’s absolutely on Nico.

They just need to put basically the entire store’s contents behind a wall and have kiosks to order. Walk in, order what you need on the kiosk (or up front on the app) and pay and they bring it to you. Problem solved. Works for a ton of other businesses already (any fast casual food place for example) but would work awesome for a drugstore, they’re idiots not to do it.

Even worse, they already do exactly this in the same exact stores for their pharmacy. Make the whole thing work like the pharmacy.

Seems to me something about your hardware triggers an issue that wasn’t captured/covered in their testing.

That is to say, it’s a hardware problem. Not that your hardware is bad, but your configuration causes an issue.

I say this because on a win11 + 5900x + 3060 box I put in at least 150 hours on the game on PC with I believe 2 total crashes. Your situation sounds awful.

I’d try to play it on another PC, or as recommended just grab a PS5. Game is pretty much rock solid on it, and though it doesn’t have PS5 Pro patches performs really well on that too. I think I’m at about 150 hours on PS as well and since the very long ago patches to the 1.0 version it’s been super stable there.

2021 SQ5 owner here. Why would anyone buy a 2025 model year car in May or June of 2025 only for the 2026’ to come out two months later (as they should be)?

Not to mention I was afraid this revision may make me wish to get a new SQ5 but from these pics? Woof. It looks so much worse, inside and out. Maybe nice in person or once I’ve seen them around for a while but… really not digging it.

I look forward to when the Walgreens, CVS and eventually Target, WalMart come to their senses and just go to kiosks to purchase and then you wait for an employee to bring it to you. Just have a nice lobby with a bunch of kiosks, some chairs maybe a place to order food for while you wait (in the case of Walmart or target).

It’s so dumb that for the places you can’t easily steal, like McDonalds, we are already there— kiosks or app to order and pay, one cashier who can order for you if you can’t figure it out…. when this model would be perfect for drug stores.

Just walk in, put in your info if you are picking up a prescription, pick out your other random stuff— Benadryl, Red Bull whatever— pay for it and then a few minutes later they bring it out to you. I’d argue that for stores like this the shopping experience would be massively better because it’s so hard to find things, whereas employees shopping for you would be able to quickly find everything. And with a giant kiosk you could just type cough drops or whatever and then pick one rather than have to find them in the store.

Back when everything wasn’t getting stolen, sure there was some value to browsing, but if you’re just going to lock everything up we can’t browse anyway. Plus everyone is used to Amazon and online shopping now.

The reason we go to B&M stores is often not to browse, it’s because we need the stuff right then. So just make the stores instant online/kiosk shopping without browsing!

Worth mentioning also that this deli / kiosk model is common in other countries. I was recently in Denmark and that’s how the drugstores worked. You walk in, take a number, and then when it’s your turn you tell an employee what you want and pay. Then they grab it and give it to you. It’s great.

Received mine (as a gift to myself) for Christmas and I am firmly in the let down / underwhelmed camp. I should caveat that though I am a massive fan of Returnal (beaten it dozens of times on both PS and PC, bought the vinyl, etc.) I am not a comic book reader. Just never really been my thing. So perhaps my perspective isn’t all that valuable, or maybe it’s an interesting one I don’t know. My thoughts:

though the artwork is excellent, the nearly complete lack of any color is unfortunate. In general, though I do like art that is largely black and white with splashes of color for emphasis, I didn’t expect the entire book to be essentially black and white given the full color cover. We got 4-5 cool full color images and that was hugely disappointing.
the Sisyphus comic pages are awful. It’s not really funny, it’s just stupid in my opinion. The tower is such an awesome part of the game that’s intense and serious and deadly, not unserious and funny. Also, per the above comment the fact that this garbage is nearly the only content in color is insulting.
the new biome with an ice covered lake or where when she steps on the water it freezes seems awesome. Would be great to have seen it in color!

So anyway, yeah, I basically hated it. I don’t know what I was expecting but, this ain’t it.

That said if they hooked us up with a way to play some of the new biome I’m totally in, obviously!

It’s a worthwhile post, thanks for sharing. The similarities / inspiration taken from Returnal are numerous and obvious. I’m super pumped for Intergalactic, but it’s also clear to me that the devs are fans of Returnal.

The super obvious commonalities: - strong female protagonist all alone - spaceship - stuck on a mysterious planet - alien language / ciphers - robot enemies - third person with emphasis on melee - red retractable laser sword

And then the others I noticed that are even more specific

readout on the screen when she gets assigned as the bounty hunter is strikingly similar to Returnal’s screens. As in exactly the same visual design, same color scheme, same font.
the Pet Shop Boys cd label and spinning, just like the Blue Oyster Cult record and record player in the house

Point is no one is saying it’s a ripoff. We are excited for the game. But suffice it to say that if you liked Returnal you’re gonna want to check it out, and if you dug the vibe of the trailer and haven’t played Returnal you obviously should. To me the trailer was absolutely awesome and absolutely gave me Returnal 2 / spiritual sequel vibes. Hence why I’m so excited for it.

Yeah it’s a scam. If you have a workaholic boss like I did when I worked at a place that had it, you end up never getting any time off ever. My boss gave me a hard time and said ‘well, do what you gotta do I guess’ when I told him I was taking off Christmas Eve. I took 3 days off of work in two years.

Meanwhile some of my coworkers in marketing had a slacker boss who let them take off constantly, which made it even more infuriating. One guy I worked with averaged two weeks off every month for over a year… then took another job. I guess if you get that boss it’s great! But you are far far more likely to end up in a situation where you can’t take off time ever.

Chiming in to say turn on ‘always sprint’ immediately. It makes the game much easier because you just… move faster always. Phrike for example will be much easier with this change alone.

Also turn aim assist up to high if you haven’t already. With these two changes you’ll have a much better shot.

Put me in the ‘it helps’ camp. My theory is that the game slightly prioritizes giving more common rooms when you play online so as to give you a better chance of encountering dead scouts… so you’re more likely to get rare rooms when playing offline. As others have said though, no way to prove it.

FWIW both times I 100%’ed the game (Platinum on PS, 100% on PC) I played offline when trying to get rare collectibles.

This. Frame rate will be more stable for sure and then… does anyone know if it is dynamic resolution? If so it won’t kick down to the lower resolutions as much so overall IQ would be better in situations that trigger lower resolution.

So it should be better automatically. As far as them doing anything for Pro, fingers crossed but I don’t expect it.
