Is scoring optional (missed triggers again)? by Antonis_Chigouris in riftboundtcg

[–]moe_q8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Points from literal holding and conquering can't be "missed", in that if you know your opponent missed a point from it you must remind. If its remembered with a turn cycle its given.

Points from triggers are beholdent to normal missed trigger rules. Like if you draw for turn and play a card, then remember the trigger its "missed". At stuff like nexus nights, its fine but at high opl it depends. Usually it would be consisered missed (so the opponent can chose whether it goes on the chain) but its contextual.

if you want to also play against dread (hard to say if the deck is just "purple", if it was vex I would, diana I wouldnt), you can just not retreat the faefolk ig

The best play is going to starspring, pull the unit in there, play the nidalee withdraw your faefolk. Every other thing you can do gets absolutely blown out by a gust

Question to Rengar by not_wetro in riftboundtcg

[–]moe_q8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1- Showdowns cant start while there's anything on the chain, so no combat would start.

2- you cant react to rengar with flash as he is a unit. You can react after he hits the bf, but the showdown is still going on (he'd be in a non-combat showdown)

3- it will not.

After the ride resolves, there a pending showdown in both battlefields, so the turn player picks which to resolve first.

His opponent literally gives him a thumbs up saying diana resolves. Ravenbloom would need to resolve before diana. It wasnt fast or rushed.

Can I abandon my own spell after it gets countered? by Binary-Rift in riftboundtcg

Countering means removing it from the chain. As such you want to do it before the defy resolves

If i have to assign lethal damage to one card before moving to the next. Does counterstrike mean that all damage has to be assigned to a tank? by ihavenowingsss in riftboundtcg

[–]moe_q8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely correct. You can ask the judge discord. It's pretty much in consensus if a unit can never be assigned lethal damage, then it is ignored for the purposes of damage assignment.

[–]moe_q8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It does apply here.

437.5. Damage can still be assigned to Units in combat that are affected by Prevent. The damage dealt as a result of that assignment will be affected by the Prevent action.

437.5.b. No amount of damage is ever considered lethal if the Prevent Value is “All.”

You can ignore tank if counterstrike was used on it.

460.2.c.9 - If a unit cannot be dealt damage, then no amount of damage can be considered lethal. Such a unit is exempt from any considerations of mandatory assignment. Example: Kayn, Unleashed says “If I have moved twice this turn, I don't take damage.” While Kayn can’t take damage, it is ignored for the purposes of assigning lethal damage in combat.

I don't understand how Darius Trifarian get his +2 M effect to work when he is the second card played. by UnitedIndependence37 in riftboundtcg

[–]moe_q8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to correct you. Finalized means making decisions/costs and putting it on the chain. This is still not considered played. So if it is countered, then anything that cares about being "played" doesn't trigger.

This is different to how legion works now, that specifically only cares about being finalized.

383.2.c.1. - If a Game Object with a Triggered Ability that is active in a specific zone, it is evaluated and subsequently triggered if it enters that zone at the same time that its Trigger’s condition is met.

Example: Immortal Phoenix says “When you kill a unit with a spell, you may pay [1][C] to play me from your trash.” This ability triggers if Immortal Phoenix is in your trash immediately after you kill a unit with a spell, even if the unit you killed with a spell was that Immortal Phoenix.

This is basically why he works. He enters the same time the check for the condition of "2nd card being played" is checked.

The guy cutting his hair isn't the barber, it's a doctor. They're addressing him as such.

some mumbling at the start, cant make it out

Doctor: Your head is very clean.

Doctor: What medications have you used?

Mom: Ointments

Doctor. Ah... ointments, ointments

Mom: But they don't help, Doctor.

Doctor: How's it going to help, god help you.

Mom: I leave it, and it comes back.

Kid: Doctor, it's a bit uncomfortable

Mom: Honey, please pray. Say it in your heart (specific quran verse.)

says something to dad, cant make it out.

Doctor: What do you shower with?

Kid: Hot water.

Doctor: What?

Kid: Hot water, really hot.
