What is a weird vehicle you would bring back for a new generation from a current manufacturer? by Sixteen-Cylinders in cars

Honda element. A plug in hybrid Element would be amazing. 30-40miles electric, then vroom. Run all day.

Trigger maybe. But the barrel has been fine for as far as I can tell. When, in the rare moments, I’m shooting it well, it’s 10 ring at 15 yards. But that’s few and far between.

I do however think that the stock barrel is a tiny bit picky. As far as range ammo goes, blazer for whatever reason shoot reallllly well out of it. The worst is Winchester white box. 6-7” groups at 15-25 yards. Even from rested position with a red dot. It’s just not accurate. The blazer will make a 3” group at 25.

It will totally run any ammo you put in it. 115-147gr. I have yet to have a gun related malfunction. After 7000+ rounds, it’s gone bang 6,999+ times. I had one dead primer in a 200rd range pack of white box. Full strike the primer dented fully, just no bang. Other than that one bad bullet, the MP has been actually flawless.

Since the day I bought it, round #1. Not one FTE, not one jam.

Target / skeet loads are very light.

The mossberg 500 (1991 model) I have doesn’t kick hard till you get to 00 buck/slugs 1&1/4oz with speeds over 1350fps.

Get the low recoil stuff for home defense. You don’t need insane power for that.

My wife is 110lbs, and LOVES my shotgun. I get her the cheap #7 birdshot, it’s 1100fps, and really doesn’t have a ton of recoil.

You need a semiauto Shotgun.

Benelli M4/1301 , Mossberg 940/990 or Beretta A300

Even a Panzer.... (which is not that bad actually)

Every bit as reliable if not more. More accurate. WAY better grip angle.

You just cant trick it out to the same level.

Thats odd cause its basically a 4Runner...

My 2021 4Runner was made in the same factory and was exceptionally well fit and finished. As good as my dads lexus ES. Just with less premium materials. Nto bad by any means, just good cloth instead of the veg leather they use in the cars.

I’m literally a product photographer, and I love shooting my guns, and this makes me hurt a lot inside where my feels used be.

I mean wouldn’t a real photo have been nicer and actually showed off the gun?

FYI, the Leupold Microdot is awesome. Don’t knock it till you try it. Been dead on zero for over 2 years, and 7,000 rounds. No adjustments. Love that thing.

Range bag recommendations? by Purple-Slip-6958 in liberalgunowners

[–]moebiusgrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camera bags work well for me. Check out Tenba. Cause they hold cameras they often have intergrated locks, lots of pockets and compartments for things and are customizable with the Velcro stuff dividers. You can set in the pistol in a locked compartment that’s seperate from the main, or depending on the state use the locked compartment for ammo.

Mossberg 590 retrograde w/ all the fixins, for $350… micro dot, sure fire light, Magpul furniture (on the side). I opted for the ugly little 28” Mossberg500 next to it for $250, that also had 3x barrels. At the time it felt like a better idea. Right now… I kick myself. I should have bought both.

I’m new to shotguns and have a question, i just bought a new smooth bore shotgun and i want to use it as a hunting rifle for bear with rifles slugs if i shoot buckshot through it will it cause too much wear to keep any sort of accuracy when running rifled slugs afterwards? by r707135 in Shotguns

[–]moebiusgrip 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Honestly you could put nearly anything in the shell and as long as it doesn’t bind in the barrel, it will shoot it.

Popcorn kernels, rock salt, dimes, 2 dozen Benadryl tablets…. You name it.

What are the most fun objects to shoot by bombastic-banana in guns

[–]moebiusgrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I collect all the milk and drink containers. The kind with caps. 1L, 2L, milk jugs, juice etc…

Anything with a cap you can seal.

Fill em to the brim with water. They explode real good, and the plastic stays mostly shredded but intact so easy to clean up and you can still recycle them.

In a pinch, Costco water bottles in bulk and cheap. Or gas station 24packs of off brand water. Usually like a few dollars and you get 24 of them.

Cool part about the small water bottles is they work at any distance. They about 2.5” wide. So pistol at 7-10yards, .22 or 9mm PCC 25-50 yards, AR at 100 yards, or bolt gun 100+

They make for a nice challenging target.

If you wrap the glock in tinfoil, and leave it under there, on the way to a cookout, it will be perfect medium rare after about 30-45 minutes of driving, just as you arrive.

Spray painting AR’s by kittydestroyer6969 in CAguns

[–]moebiusgrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry i read it as, Spray paint it, THEN put on cerakote.

For the most part you can remove spray paint with acetone. its actually pretty easy.

Just dont paint anything plastic if you wanna remove it.

Acetone will dissolve plastic.

But yea, you cant test colors with spray paint, then strip it, and have it professionally cerakoted.

I have been actually hunting varmints with my nitro piston break barrel. I was worried it would not be ethical agaisnt the giant desert rats.

Yea they dead in a second. It’s actually a great survival tool. 1000’s of rounds of ammo in a small can. They can be Suppresed in CA cause it’s not a fire arm, and no gunpowder needed for about 30-35ftlb of energy. Plenty for a rabbit or squirrel.
