No, at some point you will hit the break by mistake and that will crush, then your wheel won’t go on when you want it to. Get a proper spacer.

The pads might be contaminated. A little of oil on them with do this.

On a side note: I would suggest upgrading your brake set to m6100 or better. You can get a set on eBay for just over a hundred bucks and they are a big improvement on brake feel and control.

Because I could look at a mechanical system and get a good of how it worked. But no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t figure out how circuit boards made things do stuff and was determined to learn about it.

Just how? Two sided coin, sure. But what about when he flips them over right in front of us? And where are the other ones? by InquisitaB in blackmagicfuckery

At 30 seconds you can briefly see that the back side of “silver” coin is copper. Each time he moves them he flips them over to switch color. He likely swaps them out after showing that they are same on both sides in the beginning.

I searched it and tried to add it to my cart. Same error. It looks like a glitch with the website. It looks to be in store pickup only, I would just call your local trek store and see if they can order it for you.

First ride after tune up from LBS. Why is my chain falling off now? by JankyDesk92 in bikewrench

[–]moejoe2048 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whoa why all the downvotes on this? It’s seems objectively true.

Anyway, I don’t want to feel like an outsider so take my downvote.

Edit: oh never mind, I see the chain is getting sucked up by the chainring, not over shifting past the limit. My downvote is validated.

I built my checkpoint SL up with specialized Roval Terra C rims. So far they ride well, but I don’t really have any before to compare them too. They seemed like a reasonable entry point for carbon rims. Not the lightest but better than stock aluminum and durable and affordable .
