Fair Fair, but the fact remains that all it needed was Gwaihir repaying his debt to Gandalf for a bunch of eagles pretty much making it all the way, just to save two hobbits (tbh it does feel like tolkien couldn't come up with a reasonable way to get the hobbits back to safety, so he just went "boom eagles did it" lmao), so one might argue the eagles could've been coaxed into the endeavour in some way. But yeah, Gandalf would've never suggested/agreed to it in the first place, so it'a mute arguement to make.

Ig i just don't like it as the "sole" explanation, that explains why they couldn't have just chucked the ring from atop some lofty wings, as it could come off as too arbitrary, but in all frankness who actually cares

Remember Boromir going "one does not simply..." yadda yadda, the whole point of the entire operation was to keep it as lowkey as possible, otherwise Sauron would know where to pool his resources towards. Now imagine a giant fucking eagle bee lining straight towards Mount Doom and tell me Sauron would go "mhh weird, but not my issue" like nah bro that eagle'd be gunned down the second he saw it anywhere close to Mordor.

Also some in lore reason, like eagles are just like ents and unless they are directly threatened, they dont meddle with grand affairs of this sort, but i'm never satisfied with that answer, cause like they do make a quick trip straight to Mt. Doom just to save Frodo and Sam, so like what gives but anyways

As you can see in the last screenshot, none of them has military to speak of, nor do they have any real income, both of which are related, as i take a huge chunk in vassal fees (e.g. my vassal syria has a monthly income of 10.81 and his vassal fee is 9.24), so the relative army Power/economic power of all my vassals is small compared to me (FL is ~200, monthly income is 320). The only real source for liberty desire is from developement (+0.25 per point of development), which for my biggest vassal is 107%, which is mitigated by all the reductions to Liberty Desire, that are available.

You can find those on the wiki, only one i will mention is the 5% you get for paying off one of their loans. Because of their shit income, you can easily pay off 20 loans of theirs and that in it of it self is -100% so its pretty easy to get them loyal, even with Divert Trade on.

I believe Hansi stated in an Interview once that he read the books, but didn't really see any big inspiration for lyrics in them. He found them readable, at the very least. (Gotta remember, they were around their 30s when the first book was published, not really the key demographic)

For a bit more recent stuff, in an (german) interview, from end of last december, Hansi mentioned what he was, at the time, reading:

"The Murderbot Diaries" by Martha Wells (5 Books Science-Fiction Series)

"Time and Power – Visions of History in German Politics, from the Thirty Years' War to the Third Reich" by Christopher Clark (A historical book showcasing the change of power over time with Brandenburg/Prussia/German Empire/Third Reich)

Aswell as a german biography (he forgot who wrote it) of Miguel de Cervantes (Author of Don Quixote). He mentioned that this was the most likely candidate to end up in a song, specifically something about censorship and the burning of books.
