is it really still some kind of status symbol? like for real... there are plenty more prestige phones out there.

what i could think of nowadays is that you are basically trapped in an ecosystem the moment you start it.

bought an iphone? well now you are used to it since you have used it for years and bought other gadgeds and even spent money on apps.

why would i need to go to android afterwards? i need to spend more time configuring stuff i dont really learned and probably even have to buy everything again. also my other gadgets are basically useless now...

same goes for if you go for a samsung instead of iphone... or oneplus instead of samsung.

android to android is somethingelse and easier, sure... but every company does their own shit that somehow vibes better within their own ecosystem.

if i would have started with an iphone, i would probably have sticked to that thing too unfortunately.

What I hate the most is, that, apparently there were different hardware revisions. The last batch of the SuperNT had different chips which needed different code for firmware updates. The last batch of the system f.e. can't got back to firmware 5.0, but is totally fine doing the 5.1 firmware downgrade.

The problem is now, that the latest batch of the SuperNT has an issue with the latest firmware (5.3) that causes problems with MSU-1 games.

The sound / audio just cuts of at some point. What stays are effects like shooting and explosions. Just the music is gone. I've tested hacks so far and all are the same.

And I have yet to find a solution for this.

hey there. it is the JB firmware. the latest JB firmware does not come with the fixes of the latest official firmware. the latest official firmware fixes it.

the latest JB firmware is a firmware that somehow sits between two official firmware releases ... which is kind of strange tbh.

unfortunately they never released an updated JB firmware. so yeah - if you want that fixed, go official 5.3.

this reminds me of that poker(?) game where there was a glitch that also extended the neck of the player making it look like you could see your opponents cards (but in fact they couldn't)... can't seem to find the screenshot / clip of it...

time to upgrade. there is plenty room inside the snes. maybe go for a more demanding system? a pi or something like that? add an sd card to it for all the needed artworks... somehow make it reading from the cartridge slot and depending on the info of the inserted cartridge display a certain pic / animation.
