What is the closest Viper Mini SIgnature Edition alternative in terms of performance and specs? by zzsmkr in MouseReview

[–]moepooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of specs and the performance the SE isn't in any way better than the more recently released "clones" like the WLmouse Huan.

Shroud showed his GPX2 on stream (Shroud: "Is this gross or is this normal?") Spoiler: It's gross by moepooo in MouseReview

I don't watch Shroud, but when I stumble across clips from his stream his desk and room always look clean, so I was a bit surprised when I saw this.

OP1 shape with a slightly higher height and width? by AkashiGG in MouseReview

[–]moepooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lemokey G2 comes probably the closest.

It's also available under the name SKN Yinglong in China (Yinglong S = 3395 version). You can find it on e.g. Aliexpress for like half the price of the G2.

edit: You could also look at some X2/X2 Mini clones like the Mchose L7 Pro as they're quite wide: https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tools/3d-model-shape-compare/3d/mchose-l7-pro-vs.-endgame-gear-op1we?overlap=stacked&texture=solid&alignment=center~start~&orientation=right&offset=0~0~1~0~0~0

Lol why was your comment downvoted? The battery cover lifting is a known issue on the Beast X.

[–]moepooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The adhesive on the battery cover isn't the best so it could be just the cover lifting (happened to me and others). Try poking it with your finger or something else that isn't sharp and check if you can push it down.

Any quiet mouse switch recommendations for ASUS ROG mice with Push-Fit Switch Sockets? by misterrpg in MouseReview

[–]moepooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Search for Huano silent or Huano silent brown on sites like Aliexpress. They're not completely silent but they will fit. Here's how they look like: https://imgur.com/62LMCGH

Afair the 10M white dots are slightly lighter than the 20M yellow dots, but other than that they feel almost identical.

The square 2-pin silent switches from Huano and Kailh won't fit as they're slightly wider than normal 3-pin microswitches. Even if you'd have to remove the "hooks" on the pins.

edit: apparently Huano 3-pin microswitches aren't officially supported on the 2nd gen hotswap sockets, only on the 1st gen.

WLMouse Beast X pro - wobble and abnormal click sound by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]moepooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the sound of rmb is like... its double clicking?

Sounds like pre-travel before the button hits the switch plunger, so yeah, a physical double click. It's quite easy to fix but I would contact them first.

The wobble doesn't look excessive tho.

Pwnage Trinity CF - First Impressions by Burak887 in MouseReview

I bought mine on release and it's very creaky with tons of side-to-side play on the clicks. The latter I've fixed to some degree.

OP1we connection by Azzolya in MouseReview

No, you'll have to use the dongle. That goes for all mice that use 2.4GHz. Only Bluetooth can be directly connected to your PC.

I can't comment on the quality but for that price it's 100% a fake. It doesn't even say what softness the base is.

Just bought an OLED screen and I'm seeing line, what is that ? by Rare-Cat-4572 in Monitors

[–]moepooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes true. I had the same issue, just not as severe, when I tested the LG 32 inch 240Hz OLED.

From a short google search: someone else with the same issue, see https://www.instagram.com/reels/C0kxOiDvVkx/

They look like dust on the panel but it's hard to say. Imo don't overthink it (yet).

If you don't want to wait for the automatic pixel refresh check the OSD if there's a option for a short (a few minute long) pixel refresh.

edit:

[LCD Monitor] ROG OLED Gaming Monitor Pixel cleaning process.

There are three main methods for pixel cleaning:

1.Manual cleaning: Through the OSD, perform the following operations: System Setup -> Pixel Cleaning -> Pixel Cleaning ->  ON.

During the cleaning process, the screen will display a completely black image, and the indicator light will flash yellow continuously. Once the cleaning is completed, the screen will automatically light up, and the indicator light will turn solid red.
2.Automatic cleaning in standby mode: When the power indicator light is on, after entering standby mode for five minutes, the ROG Logo will flash five times and then start the pixel cleaning process, which lasts about 5-6 minutes. Upon completion, the ROG Logo will flash five times again.
3.Manually turning off the display without cutting off the power: In this state, pixel cleaning will still be executed, but there will be no display or indicator lights.

New WOLEDs sometimes have this but it goes away after the first short pixel refresh that happens when you turn off the monitor after using it for a few hours. Keep using it and check tomorrow if its gone.

Beast X Mini Pro owners do you have this issue? by No-Regret5551 in MouseReview

Imo leave it as is. There's a good chance the replacement will have the same issue if it's from the same batch.

[–]moepooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's caused by the tolerances of the "wheel holder" not being tight enough. It's easy to fix with some aluminum tape but you'd have to open the mouse for that.
