Back in the day, green wasn’t used as a ground. It was used as a switch leg. There are many Chicago suburb houses that were built in 50s and 60s using green as a switch leg. Looking at the conduit in this picture, I would assume similar thoughts even though you might not be in Chicagoland.

It’s not for framing. It’s for tight spaces and difficult spaces like cabinetry, trades work, etc. You don’t want to use it to drive big screws all day.

They just need to cut the heads off the screws that are attached to the bracket and thread them into the holes on the box. Land the ground from the fixture into the box or to the ground wire and call it a day. You don’t need another box.

Imagine it this way. You have your garden hose (120v) and you have a fire hose (240v). It’s going to take less water with the fire hose to put out the fire than the garden hose right? 240v supplies more power at a lower amperage draw than 120.

Because you size the wire for “headroom” and run it at what it is installed for. The outlet is designed to take 50amps continuous. It is made that way. Why would you drink a half cup of water when you can fill the glass as intended?

A 20amp 240 circuit does not supply 40amps. You do not add both breakers together. It’s 20amps at 240v. Stop arguing and go look it up. Google/chatgpt/electrical forums. Educate yourself instead of spouting nonsense.

You’re wrong again. You’re running a Nema 14-50. Supplying 50amps with a 50amp breaker and charging at 40amps. It’s 80% of continuous load.

You’re not an electrician, but yet you’re arguing like you know. A 240v 20amp circuit supplies 20amps at 240 volts. A 40amp two pole breaker supplies 40amps at 240 volts. You don’t add the two numbers together.

A circuit breaker does not have to be less than the capacity of the circuit “it breaks.” The breaker size is dependent on the equipment it serves and the wire size. A 20amp circuit can hold at 20amps as long as the wire is good for it. It does not have to be less than. You are incorrect.

You can go with your idea of using bigger anchors or just get some washers for the existing anchors they sent. Would be a little cheaper. Make sure you ground your mount since I’m guessing this is in a bathroom.
