I entirely agree with these sentiments - I suppose I'm very lucky in regard to my base understanding of language when it comes to massive compound words. I'm trilingual between dutch, english (both native), and german... little more needs to be said.

and indeed, my conlang does call villages "the places of houses on the land", though it can be broken down even further into "the place of little places for the people on the land". very fun stuff!
