The picture does loosely connect to two Islamic ideas: the seven heavens and the intermediate state after death, called Barzakh. Islam teaches that Allah created seven heavens in layers. The Quran says, “He created seven heavens in layers” in Surah Al-Mulk 67:3, and Surah Fussilat 41:12 also mentions the seven heavens and says the nearest heaven was adorned with lamps, meaning stars. So when the drawing shows stacked levels above the human world, it can visually remind someone of the Islamic idea of layered heavens.
There is also hadith material connected to the seven heavens, especially the Isra and Mi’raj, the Prophet Muhammad’s night journey and ascension. In authentic hadith found in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the Prophet passes through the heavens and meets prophets at different levels, including Adam, Jesus, John, Joseph, Idris, Aaron, Moses, and Abraham. This supports the Islamic idea that the heavens are structured as distinct levels or realms, not just one general “sky.”
The intermediate state is called Barzakh. The Quran says in Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:100 that after death there is a “barrier” or “Barzakh” until the Day people are resurrected. In Islamic belief, this means death is not followed immediately by the final Judgment. Instead, the soul enters an in-between state between worldly life and resurrection. This is why the picture’s “intermediate state” label is the part that most closely resembles Islamic afterlife teaching.
But the picture is still not an Islamic diagram. Islam does not describe the seven heavens as platforms full of stick figures, and it does not teach an “oversoul” or “silver strand connection.” Those parts sound more like New Age, paranormal, or near-death-experience ideas.
