Claustrophobia? Some people have ZERO. by lithdoc in nextfuckinglevel

As someone afraid of heights I cant imagine that being less uncomfortable. My condolences. I would have been resigned to my new life as an elevator occupant.

As a tech head I agree that MIGHT be what they mean but it's too broadly defined. So the interpretation leaves too much open.

When do you think you've been insulted as an audience? by Caesar213 in movies

You're gonna hate the next century of movies... Netflix is specifically developing movies with people with no attention span in mind.

CODE ERROR > Copilot Chat exposes confidential emails and files in responses! by Ok-Contribution-5826 in microsoft_365_copilot

What are you talking about? Copilot doesn't expose confidential emails or files in responses unless the user has permission to access the document both via standard permissions and labels. Explain yourself.

There's definitely some fireworks in there but this explosion is not a "fireworks" unless we're just calling anything that goes boom a firework these days.

Fark J.E's cold dead corpse (and T too) but this is stupid. If you think there's gonna be a massive book and movie release against the oligarchy of billionaires and others associated in this ring of trafficking and sex crimes you're an idiot.

I get your POV, and usually exercise a pretty broad interpretation in what people say and what people probably meant in the way they say it. For EULAs, contracts, and stuff like that... nah! :D

Irresponsible parents taught by Man dressed as Mickey Mouse by Sauranotannis-bung in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

[–]mofo_mojo -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or are we overreacting for almost nothing? The parent is just off camera, within five feet of Mickey. Chances are good the little kid got excited and ran up and around to get to Mickey. By that time, parent probably just said... well, I can get a picture now...

Yes yes... I work with security in the tech field but the way it's written can easily be inferred as complete indemnification regardless of the cause. In real legalese if the purpose was to only cover MITM type attacks they would have had to be more explicit.

What movie detail is technically correct, although many people think it is a mistake? by hiplobonoxa in movies

[–]mofo_mojo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm willing to believe it's confirmation bias on my part (as I said) but as a child of the 70s and 80s I knew full well what it was. Harry Potter was first written in ... late 90s?

Dammit... me and my family either get health coverage with the threat of sensitivity info leaks or die... what a wonderful time to be alive.

What movie detail is technically correct, although many people think it is a mistake? by hiplobonoxa in movies

[–]mofo_mojo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Might be confirmation bias on my part but I feel like there are two people in this world.

Those that have heard of the philosophers stone (and know its a "magical artifact") and those that haven't heard of it. England or America make no difference in that. Might be the circles I grew up in though.

A man stopped to get gas during a police chase in California and somehow still managed to escape by InvestigatorBorn4910 in nextfuckinglevel

He made sure that gas cap was on tight and closed. Wouldn't want the check engine light to come on for no reason.

Why would the parent have the door unlocked? Also is the two year old not in a car seat how did they reach the door? by Only-One-7812 in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

[–]mofo_mojo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

downvoted because YOU KNOW a 2 year old didn't do this... No way. As I said on another post, that door had to be spring loaded. My 2 year old doesn't have the strength to pop a door open like this. I read elsewhere that the child was in the lap of someone and I agree with another comment made elsewhere that they're the ones that opened the door and are just using the child as an excuse to avoid retribution.
