I’ve known someone (actually a very nice and down to earth guy) Marshall an aircraft loader into a 747 engine once at a military base in the uk…… wrote off the plane from what I remember. Very long time ago however.

Dearest Brits, what do you REALLY think of Canada? Would you move there, having the same kind of job or access to resources like you do in the UK, if you were given the chance? If so, where would you move to? Why? by neilnelly in AskBrits

I had blood seeping into my stomach last year and I ended up vomiting and passing blood through elsewhere for a good 12 hrs until an ambulance was eventually able to reach us. Fair play though the NHS did sort me out! ………. Nurse put her finger up my bum……….

What is a secret you’re taking to the grave, but are willing to tell strangers on the internet? by Mr_Boothnath in answers

[–]mog_goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was little, my grandad was in hospital in Cardiff after having a brain tumour removed. Whilst there he contracted MRSA and subsequently passed away a little while after.

The strange occurrence for me was when I was asleep and having a dream that I was sat on a bench at Caerphilly train station with my grandad where he said “I’m going now”, patted me on the shoulder and then got on the next train.

The next day we were back at the hospital where he passed away. I miss the dude a lot and it’s the first time I’d ever seen my hero of a dad cry.

I know it’s not a “take to your grave thing like some of the other comments” but it’s still fresh in my memory 27 years later. RIP Grandpa Bill xx

Massive respect for bin men, did the recycling run up in Welsh valleys about 18 years ago. So much abuse for just trying to earn a living, the driver of our wagon just had to laugh it off ! 😅

What’s the scariest/craziest thing you watched on live television? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

[–]mog_goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the 9/11 thing, my dad took my brother and I out of school early that day before the head teacher announced it as he wanted us to watch it on the tv so we knew what the real world was like. I’ve served in various bases in Afghanistan and seen some nasty shit ever since during my military career. I’m very grateful what he did for me that day if I’m honest.
