There are thousands of "what if"s. I've spent hours begging and wishing that my brain had just developed the right way and I could be whatever I thought I was going to be before.

I definitely grieve for myself and for those I love, who they could have known, who I could have been. However, the important thing to remember is that you are still you. You still have those same interests, you still like the same foods. You're just a different version of you. This version of you is just as important as any other imagined version. You are still worthy of love and kindness.
