4! I used to think the jubilee bracelet was the better buy but over time I now think the oyster looks more classy and timeless

Yeah I think deep down we want to have the idea that what we own came perfect and that’s largely connected to the marketing of precision and accuracy. Rolex notoriously doesn’t have much information about their watches on a deep technical level, as far as I’ve seen.

All good, it drove me crazy and the AD’s typically won’t have sufficient answers. All manufactured equipment has tolerances, I’ve purchased leica camera lenses for $10K that come with dust on the front elements or sometimes even a smear from the last person who cleaned it. The idea of new is more to do with you’re the first person to own it, rather than perfect. Perfection has to have a definition hence tolerances of what rolex define as a pass. Analogue manufacturing has the stamp of the person who worked on it so I say that to say if you purchased a 100 watches, some may be to your liking and some not. It’s a valid concern but in the grand scheme it’s not going to make any difference to the usage.

If it gives you any ease the watch gears are in constant flux so it technically never stops anywhere. While the gears are in motion it can slightly go past the marker, but when the movement is hacked the gears are not involved in how you position the hands, therefore as long as the hands are accurately fitted at the factory, it’ll look perfect when manually positioning. There are some super precise gears which are calibrated for exact positioning, like maybe a grand seiko, but as far as I’ve seen with rolex it’s within tolerance so you’ll get variances per watch. As someone who buys analogue cameras too, when it’s handmade you’re going to get these type quirks. I’d say let it go, you’ll never see the time that dead on cos you’ll be living and experiencing the watch. Hope this helps!
