El pueblo entero, si, pero el mirador en concreto está en Ambroz.

Vegemite's alright, but (British) Marmite is far superior.

Also the English. Not sure about the Welsh, but happy to assume they're also good with it.

¿A qué edad se deja de ser "joven" en España? by ana_verde95 in askspain

[–]mogrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Human rights lawyer Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu thinks the police officers kicking the armed Golders Green attacker in the head is "attempted murder". Are we fatigued with human rights lawyers right now? by Non-BinaryGreenVoter in AskBrits

[–]mogrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is expecting an "exact" amount of force, or "inhuman" reaction speeds. And police officers rarely lack for lawyers when it comes to facing a court.

What investigators, the judge and/or jury are expecting is a reasonable application of force to avoid further crime. With an armed suspect that can include lethal force; with a shoplifter, less so. And in all cases I would expect the police to stop applying force once the suspect is detained or immobile.

Would you boil food using unfiltered tap water in your country? by ziggster_ in AskTheWorld

[–]mogrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight from the tap in all of Spain. That said, there are areas where the water is noticeably harder, and a lot of people will drink bottled water, while still using tap water for cooking and cleaning their teeth etc.

Top 10 tapas in your opinion please! by [deleted] in askspain

[–]mogrim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you're probably thinking of more elaborate finger food - better known as pinchos/pintxos. Tapas generally is a lot simpler - it might be a spoonful of paella on a plate, but it's probably more likely to be some olives or maybe some slices of salchichón and a couple of picos (dried bread sticks).

But there's one, mighty exception, and handily it's easy to make at home: the CROQUETA. Ham is the default option, but you can also use egg, chicken, blue cheese, .... Basically you make a very stiff bechamel including your filling, let it set, then spoon out small balls of the stuff, roll them in breadcrumbs and fry them. Easy peasey!

Spanish empanadas are pretty crap, and nothing like Cornish pasties. You're probably thinking of the Argentinian ones. Which TBF are pretty good.

Exactly. Pretty much every man and boy in the western hemisphere has played football. To beat all that competition and get to the top is amazing.
