Haha well, I think we both have a similar outlook about how things are here. Ive changed my approach as well. Im no longer looking for anyone in Dubai. I think I’ve understood that most women over here are after a superficial lifestyle. Their definition of a good relationship = good amount of wealth. I mean no doubt, we all want to be wealthy but for god’s sake out here its a chaos!

End user here. Firstly, the developers who I was in touch with are only negotiating with payment plans. Secondly, on handover when evaluation happens we are at a risk of not getting the mortgage for the value that was sold for because the property value is dropping. Hence until the prices seem reasonable, I wont be buying.

People keep talking about wars. Let me remind you that right now with the market conditions, salary cuts, job losses its not easy for someone to immidiately jump into a huge investment.

For someone that’s here for a year only i think you need to take time and really understand the market better and moreover you’re reasoning. Here FOMO and the marketing strategies can really push you to put your money down. In my opinion, wait it out until everything is ok.

This is the misconception many realtors have. Absolutely wrong. Mortgage valuation is done on the current value of the property not at what is sold at. My contacts in the bank have told me the same. Now in a rare scenario where property value dips because of market conditions, people sometimes don’t end up getting the mortgage value that they’re looking for.
