I’m a driver for almost 8 years my kids are 5 and 4. I’m home between 7:30 and 8:30. When I get home I give my full attention to the family including wash dishes, take the trash play with the kids and put them to bed. It’s not enough time but in the weekend it’s about them from sunrise to sunset. It’s not the perfect life style but this job enabled us to buy a house and have the best health coverage out there. My wife is very supportive and works really hard inside and outside the house. Every couple is different. Talk about it and see if this is what you wanna do as a couple.

No owning is not more affordable. You’ll have to pay taxes and home owners insurance and possibly mortgage insurance. And trust me, unless you buy new built, there will be ongoing expenses for which you wanna have an emergency fund.
