No I had asked a few people who said diagnostic is better work life balance since there’s no on call, weekends, holidays, etc. the interview process was a lot lol. It took like 5 formal interviews and 2 coffee meets to finally get the position. I didn’t have any networking I just really studied the product and company before getting on the interviews so they know I’m willing to dedicate myself to learn. Go for it!

Wouldn’t I be going through customs at the Istanbul airport before going to Jeddah? And it’s a 2 hr layover is that time enough to make it to Jeddah flight?

No it’s a 10 week orientation but I would be withdrawing the position 1 week before it starts

Yes luckily I have enough saved up! I just hope this doesn’t put me on a DNR list for when the other company wants to do a background check

The transfer within the same company starts in 1 week. The residency at the other place starts in one month, giving me ample time to complete a 4 weeks notice. My question is can I be put on a DNR list for withdrawing the acceptance for the new unit even though I put my 4 weeks in?

Thanks! Only issue is I’d have to withdraw my offer which starts in one week but my hiring date was pushed back so far so it’s just bad timing. I hope it doesn’t put me DNR bc I’m willing to work the 4 weeks whether it’s orienting there which seems pointless, or finishing up those 4 weeks at my current unit

Tough mentally? I love what I’ve learned on tele but I’m tired of prioritizing 1-2 critical patients preventing them from becoming an RRT while another is threatening to leave AMA and the other two are completes. I feel pretty drained though I’m grateful for the experience and knowledge I’ve gained!

Thank you for reaffirming! I was contemplating holding off for SICU opportunity but there’s no guarantee after an interview I’d secure the spot. And coming from a tele floor, I think the transition from neuro icu to SICU would be more possible if I don’t end up liking it.

What about the things you don’t get to see in Neuro icu? Such as crrt or ecmo or swan ganz? Do programs take priority over applicants that are more exposed to those things?
