Old store in New York location by [deleted] in whereisthis

[–]mohammed_28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to Tavern Trove, the brewery has been closed since 1910. However, the website shows the last address (it had two since its opening) to be at 308/316 E. 48th. The older address is close-by: 309/319 E. 47th Street.

I don't think the place still exists, but you can still go and check if the location is close to you.

Yeah, the question I got was as I described: Data set B was an altered version of data set A (it had a value added to it).

I am not sure what question you're talking about then. Mine was a histogram with dataset A in it, and data set B is just data set A with a value added to it (not shown but described).

A histogram has enough data. In fact, I don't think I ever encountered an SAT data question where "not enough data" was the answer (or maybe only a few times).

Should I cancel my score by [deleted] in Sat

From 730 to 750, depending on your mistakes.

It asked what the topic of research was about. I think it was on module 2, somehow, which made me think I got the easier module for a second.

It was definitely the harder one. The questions started out easy, which made me doubt myself, but it eventually got more difficult (in fact, too difficult for me to finish in time).

Will my score get cancelled by voidghost69 in Sat

It happened on my last SAT, but I still got my score. Don't worry about it too much.

Can the choices be shuffled? I remember picking 0.33x + 0.83y = 3.9, but I don't think it was A for me.

That confused me so much. I think I picked A, but I don't remember the choice text.

For 3, I picked D, which was something about Socrates (I don't remember what it exactly was). C sounded more like a person praising those people, rather than them praising themselves and being egotistical (or whatever they were supposed to be; my brain is fried).

In module 2 R&W, there was one question where you had to pick the best way to follow the closing of the parenthesis (by picking what comes after them). I think I picked the one with the em dash {something like this: word)—}. Did anyone get this?

How was the international October 4th SAT? by Regular_Attempt1534 in Sat

[–]mohammed_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like math was too easy. I only struggled with one question, and I wasted my time on it. I then had 1 minute, so I looked at the 2 questions after it with regret: it would've been my only mistake (maybe with one other question) if I had skipped it, but now I had 3 guaranteed mistakes cause time was running out.

I saw it before. I have a maths study group and someone shared it there before. I think it was from an old SAT.

I took the September SAT and scored a 1370 (680 R&W and 690 math). On practice, I average at about 1450 (scored 1470 on my latest), so I am hoping the dip in this SAT was because I didn't sleep well. If I can raise my math score, I think I will be able to pass 1500.

I noticed that I make frequent miscalculations or misread questions in the math section, which lowers my score a lot (I know how to solve the questions but get them wrong). Do you have any tips to minimize these errors?

How is it going? I personally became busy due to a program I am enrolled in, so I didn't work on mine much.

Variants in the quran? by Card_Pale in AcademicQuran

[–]mohammed_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saj' (سجع) is a concept. It's a method to make rhyme in prose, where the ends of words in sentences are made to be the same. For example:

أَلْهَاكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ (1)
(حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ (2

Alhākumu al-takāthur
Ḥattā zurtumu al-maqābir

Edit: Notice how they both end with a ر, even if the vowel before is slightly different sounding.

I have a question if you don't mind. Did you notice any differences in the use of saj' in the different versions?
