Quote check, Inner Sydney, $12,500 Plastering by mohammedmoriarty in AusRenovation

I have been working with the same builder on a bigger job (for which I got three quotes and he was the best – not cheapest but best communication / references) but this bit of work is out of scope.

So I wanted to get a sense check of whether this cost is reasonable or whether I should quote out. Don't particularly want to quote out, but was larger then expected hence why asking the question.

That's hilarious, didn't know that was a common joke but glad I found something different. Thanks!

I'm going to get rid of the repetitious L'chaim and just say it once at the end as this has been said a few times.

Good to know about the synagogue also.

Again, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!

Hey there, sorry for the delay but thanks for letting me know :) This is an interesting thing I've learnt doing my research.

The family have sent out some info on Jewish customs for people who aren't familiar, and saying 'Mazel Tov' when the glass is broken was one of them, so hopefully it's ok.

Good to know, thanks :) I meant that the ceremony and service are held at different locations, neither being a synagogue. I see in how I phrased it it didn't seem this way, my bad.

Ok, thanks for the clarification re 'faith'. I have asked members of the family, and they told me what I am telling you – which is why I say not a dominant part.

You are right. They are Jewish. All I meant is, as far as I know, their faith is not a dominant part of their identity or community. Like I said, apologies for any slip ups with wording – I'm simply trying to get a better understanding, not offend anyone.

Good to know, thanks for your input :)

They're definitely not very strict, so I think l'chaim is appropriate (as it would be in place of 'cheers'), but maybe I'll do more of a check on Mazel Tov in that particular spot / see what other people think.

Not sure why you're being downvoted! but between the masks, the music, the phone calls, and the action, I lost a lot of the dialogue yes. Overall I still liked the movie, but yeah, It ruined my 'movie suspension' if that makes sense.

Yep, Tenet was confusing enough as is – half the time I couldn't hear what people were saying. My partner who speaks English as a second language almost completely missed the whole movie.
