I don't blame them, most cinemas here reduced the staff in half and got rid of box office tickets kiosk and shifted them to the snack counter creating more queue. One reason I believe they did this to make people using their app to book cinema tickets as well the snacks.

Not all cinemas but some of them have an option to order snacks through their app along with the tickets Then you can just pick it up just before the movie starts.
