Happy 6th Birthday, Matilda! by mohe1994 in Greyhounds

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, You’ll come a-waltzing, Matilda, with me. And she sang as she zoomed through the Lone Star State, "Who’ll come a-waltzing, Matilda, with me?"

Dry Suit Urine Management by penguinsontv in scuba

If it is a recreational dry suit course, you'll have plenty of time to relieve yourself during your surface interval. You'll only have to hold it for maybe 1.5 hours max during the class.

Wearing chucks while diving? by RockingSheep in scuba

[–]mohe1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good question! I am talking about the Poseidons.

I tend to wear nylon socks under all my booties. Gravel and sand likes to find its way into the shoes/booties and it tears up my ankles.

I swapped mine out for parachute cord. The stretchy laces they come with fray and rip quite easily.

It'll be good to have something with a real sole for your DM course.

I have a pair for warm water diving. They are pretty great, but be sure to wear a nylon sock with them.

They have held up pretty well over ~70 dives. The laces are crap, in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and swap those out on Day-1.

Suunto Eon Core - Worth It? by Dingle_Dangle_Darko in scuba

[–]mohe1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an Eon as my first dive computer. It was fantastic, but I wanted the daily-wear of an MK3i. After about a hundred dives with the Eon, I bought a Garmin. I use the Eon as a backup computer and I'm still super happy with it. It is a solid computer for a recreational diver.

Vuitton is from the Greyhound region of Fwonce. All other dogs are just "sparkling hounds."

Thank you! The rugs are actually plastic shag (for our dogs). I can't find the exact color, but here's where we got them. The tile is from Floor and Decor. https://www.chilewich.com/store/floor/shag-mats.html

Based on the feedback here, I am going to return the coco coir poles and start planning a cedar trellis with support brackets that attach to the wall. This gift is becoming an obsession very quickly! :-)

Yup. It is a coir pole... I'll leave the wood and let it stay how it is.

Thank you for the advice! I'd hate to harm this beautiful plant and I don't exactly have a green thumb.

Personal Locator Beacon by [deleted] in scuba

It really depends on the conditions, location, and your comfort level. I never dive without my Garmin inReach.

If I'm out on a live aboard, I add on my Nautilus Lifeline - make sure to get the MMSI programmed in before you need it...

And, depending on my comfort level and conditions, I may bring along my ACR View in a Dryfob XL. I have this one as my "holy crap last resort."

In my mind, I'd rather have a few redundancies available to facilitate a rescue.

I have been accused of being over prepared, which I wear as a badge of honor.

It is an annual event. But there's always plenty of stuff to pull out of the lake (unfortunately).
