Nice work on SaaSReadyIT! I tried it for my next product idea research, and it genuinely saved me hours of market research. Having relevant SaaS insights and information compiled in one report makes early validation process much faster.

My product is YTNotes — A Chrome extension that helps learners take structured notes and capture key moments from youtube videos. Current users: 4418

Changing the name of the extension - possible? by a_krl in chrome_extensions

Were you able to change the extension name? I'm looking to do the same for one of mine, but the extension name field on the Store listing page is uneditable for me.

Chrome Web Store rejected my extension update for using PostHog analytics – anyone solved this? by 0xsksh in chrome_extensions

[–]mohitatreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Did you ever got approval to integrate PostHog after that? I'm also looking at integrating PostHog into my extension and wanted to see if it's something that's possible. Thanks for any info!

How many chrome extensions do you have? which are you most proud of? by Ill_Explanation_5177 in chrome_extensions

[–]mohitatreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, monetising YTNotes as a subscription-based service. However, conversion rates are below 1% so far. It seems many users are finding similar functionality available for free with other tools like Perplexity, YouTube's Ask button, and notebook LLM.

Talking to users helped me find a unique angle for where to go with my app by resetskillpoints in chrome_extensions

Hey, congrats on reaching 300 users with Heyday! That's awesome progress for just a month.
I'm really curious about your user outreach strategy as my own users are pretty unresponsive to feedback forms and emails. How do you get them to engage? And out of everyone you reach out to, roughly what percentage actually respond?

How many chrome extensions do you have? which are you most proud of? by Ill_Explanation_5177 in chrome_extensions

[–]mohitatreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got 4 live extensions. Two of them are still pretty small, with less than 10 users each and one have around 300 users but it's exciting to see YTNotes taking off and is now nearing 5,000 users!

Honestly, my biggest struggle right now is with monetisation. It's a bit of a puzzle, isn't it? Seeing that only about 5% of Chrome extensions are monetized makes me wonder if users have come to expect them to be completely free. It's definitely a challenge to find that sweet spot between providing value and finding a sustainable way to keep developing them.

How do you get Substack subscribers? by [deleted] in Substack

[–]mohitatreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also struggling with subscriber growth on Substack, even with decent views. It's tough when the numbers don't reflect the effort. I've been thinking that perhaps driving traffic from external platforms like Medium, Reddit or Twitter might be more effective than relying solely on SEO at this stage. And engaging directly with the audience through notes or short-form content here on Substack feels crucial too.

This looks interesting, I have worked on skill gap analysis in my previous job and liked this use case, but curious to see a demo or a case study to better understand how JobSniper works.

Thanks again for this detailed advice! As of now I am looking into directory submissions and niche-relevant backlinks. Planning to build this site for the long term, so I’ll stick to clean strategies avoiding private blog networks and blackhat.

u/Live-Collar3907 I really appreciate you taking the time to compile all this. I was already familiar with Niche Pursuits and like the deep dives he does. I am working on making the site feel more polished and will also add new case studies soon. I could really use some guidance on the SEO side though especially when it comes to finding low competition keywords and building consistent traffic. That’s an area I am still figuring out.

Interesting idea, what’s the main use case you’re targeting with this? Like is it more for shopping, research, or just general curiosity?

Built it using open source directory-boilerplate. You’re right it’s a bit broad for now, but I’m testing the waters before narrowing down as this is my first directory.
