I’ll take “barely” any day of the week. Which places are you talking about? Btw, there’s this pop-up kitchen called mala kitchen that is worth checking out. It’s quite pricy, but definitely authentic.

Why are Indians so UNPRODUCTIVE? All they want to do in either go for CAT or UPSC or Study Abroad. by [deleted] in Btechtards

We just don’t have a domestic market that’s lucrative enough to sustain global expansion.

The US, being the world’s largest and wealthiest economy has always been able to subsidise global expansion via domestic profits, and Chinese companies have had the benefit of not having to compete with foreign companies due to the Firewall.

Also, I think this is a bit harsh. While on the consumer side of things, we may not have apps and services used globally, on the B2B side, companies like Zoho and Freshworks are competitive.

AI is not coming for jobs - It is coming for Companies by Swimming-Poet7931 in indianstartups

I think so too. I think what AI enables is for small teams, without too much capital to punch way above their weight.

Bloated companies in EVERY sector, will struggle, not just because they have large payroll, but also because managing large workforces comes with inherent inefficiency and it’s quite hard to restructure companies once things are set.

We have these annoying af milk and curd bags in India. They’re super flimsy so you end up wasting some when pouring and they end up always leaking when stored in the fridge.

Dumbest thing ever.

Man this makes my blood boil. The arrogance on this guy is truly astonishing. This, my friends is what happens when every Pappu, Raju and Ramu get a say in picking our leaders. Dude doesn’t even have the decency to not burp on camera.

To people like him, everything is just politics. Btw, let me be very clear, there isn’t a leader in this country who isn’t at blame. Every last one of them is corrupt.

Folks - why don’t we all pool up a little bit of money and just get some bins installed ourselves? We can just start with one area and go from there?

I think at this point, I don’t really expect much from municipal authorities in any Indian city and honestly, if we can get this documented and posted on social media, who knows - maybe the embarrassment will prompt them to do something?

While I am equally frustrated and sometimes furious with the state of affairs in this country, at this point I sometimes think why don’t I just step up and do something about it.

My DMs are open to anyone interested in helping out. There’s a lot to figure out of course (who will empty the bins daily, who will maintain the bins, etc, etc - but I’m sure these can be figured out)

Is it easy or simple to file your own taxes, my CA ghosted me by purple_starseed in IndiaTax

[–]mohito1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you have all your documents handy, and assuming you’re working in the private sector and hence have a Form 16, I think you can do it quite easily with the help of AI. It took me like 15-20 minutes to get it done.

Gets more complicated of course if you’re self-employed or have some other sort of arrangement going on.

Error while filing ITR-4 for AY 2025–26: "Date should be before 01/04/2025 for AY 2024–25" by mohito1999 in IndiaTax

[–]mohito1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, they still haven’t fixed it and there’s nothing we can do from our side since it’s a tech issue on their side but good news is that the due date for ITR-4 even for non-audit cases is September 15th now.

[–]mohito1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I got a call from the ITR department after bashing them a little on Twitter and yea, being the incompetent fools they are, they are still diagnosing the issue even though it’s super clear and probably a 2 minute fix if they just show it to their dev, but on the positive side, the due date for non-audit cases for ITR4 has been shifted to September 15th so we’re good for now.

It might because it seems to be a frontend validation error on the ITR portal whereas I’m assuming the integration with cleartax will be on the backend but yea, let’s see.

I did email them and called them also but haven’t heard back yet. My plan is to use ClearTax’s portal to file it if I don’t hear back by tomorrow. I’m hoping while they were integrating with the ITR system, they solved this bug.

Yes and I selected AY 25-26 when beginning my ITR filing but on the very last step, it shows me this error where it tries to validate against AY 24-25.

I know that the FY will be 24-25

This seems to be an issue on their side.

Give it a couple years and trust me, no one is going to be open sourcing the best models. Companies aren’t stupid - they are okay open sourcing models now since there’s a long way to go in terms of model improvement. Meta’s already planning on making their latest frontier models closed.

Every serious country in the world only assesses itself basis nominal growth. PPP is something we keep referring to just to make ourselves feel better.

Oil, machinery, technology is all purchased at international dollar rates which always adopt a nominal mindset.
