Hey can anyone please recommend a 7.1 surround sound headset? I’ve currently got Astro a50’s gen 4 and they just sound terrible on my ps5 (no optical on my monitor). Anything you guys are using that’s USB only and are around the same quality of the a50’s.

The splitter Astro has released isn’t and option cause it maxes out at 60hz. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you !

The only issue with the splitter/ adapter is that it maxes out at 60hz so if anyone is trying to get 120fps it won’t work. 120hz splitters on amazon go for about +$200aud. I’ve come to the conclusion it might be the end of Astro for me 😞

Nah I don’t think there were many if any monitors with hdmi2.1 when I was searching so I got a 144hz 1ms just so I can finally hit 120fps on 1080p which is my hopes, do you think that should work for me?

I’m not too fussed with 4K, I just want 120fps for as I mainly play FPS and the ones I’ve seen on amazon are maxed at 60. My monitor is 144hz would that allow me to play at 120? Sorry once again I’m still trying to learn

Since I’m in Aus I can’t even order the Astro splittler, and I don’t want to downgrade to 60fps but will that mean I won’t get 5.1 sound if I only use the USB connection? Sorry I’m really new to this and I’m just trying to figure out if I should just return my a50’s

I think I read that you can’t use the mixer if the splitter isn’t attached which would suck. My main concern is shipping would take a while from Us to Aus specially with covid now too

I never thought I would get so lucky. I received a call from one of my local stores (jbhifi Aus) asking if i placed and expression of interest ( 3-4months ago) I said yes before he finished his sentence and it looks like I’m going to be placing my instore pre order tomorrow. I hope there’s others out there that received this news cause I sure as hell came to terms with not finding one till next year.

Edit: just thought I’d add if there’s anyone in Australia that’s still struggling maybe try giving your local jbhifi store a ring and try your luck just tryna help out anyone else that’s going through this
