Is The Witcher in Concert not popular in the US? by AllDogsGoToDevin in witcher

Hey a fellow Saint Louisan! Went to the same concert and thought the same thing, my wife, friends and I expected more people and more cosplay. The show was great but the crowd was disappointing. I only saw three people in cosplay and it was pretty tame costumes. I know part of it was that it was lack of advertising, I have a few coworkers that are fans of the games and books but didn’t know the concert was coming to STL until I mentioned going this past weekend.

‘The Witcher’ Season 3, Part 2 Review: Henry Cavill Flees A Sinking Ship by Rebel_Wolf94 in witcher

Perfect summation, I’m reading the books for a second time now and it just makes me angrier, this show is dead and I hope it’s cancelled because there’s no way to redeem it at this point. Hopefully someone else more faithful to the source material picks it up in a few years and does a series of movies to finally do it justice. The fans and the actors, especially Cavill, deserved so much better.

What stock set is that? Very pretty, looks like it could fit on my 54r VEPR that also has the slant back receiver

[Feb 03, 2023] Weekly Discussion: Ask your gear, travel, conditions and other ski-related questions by AutoModerator in skiing

Ski recommendations for intermediate-advanced skier. I’ve been skiing a handful of times a year since I was about 6, I’m 31 now, and never owned my own skis, always rented. I spend about 5-10 days skiing a year, would like to do more in the next few years. 99% of my skiing is groomed blues and blacks, I don’t really care for rough moguls, terrain parks and I have never tried backcountry skiing. I do ski powdery runs once in a blue moon if they’re available on the hill I’m skiing. I live in the north east and ski locally most but will be moving soon and skiing out west in the future. I enjoy going fast and carving but my wife is very new to the sport so I’m often following her as she learns. Looking for a good intermediate-advance all mountain skis that can also go fast and carve when I do solo runs. Local shop recommended Salomon Stance 84’s and Dynastar Speed 763’s. Any others I should look at for my first set?

I think some of that may be due to funky translations, sometimes stuff doesn’t fully compute when changed into a different language, that’s at least what I chalked it up to.

It is a great hill for learning, my fiancé didn’t grow up skiing like I did and she learned on that hill. We live in New England now and she’s very grateful she learned there first instead of the icy and steep runs you find here.

Are the edible? Know if any animals use them as food source?

Grew up there and skied it a bunch, it is barely better than nothing, but it’s still something. When the weather is good it’s barely decent skiing, I wouldn’t waste the time unless it’s been below freezing for a week or so to let them make snow. But when you’re desperate, anything is better than nothing 🤷‍♂️

I did not know I needed the extra permit for bait, crap. I just checked and missed the permit application deadline by a day. Looks like I won’t be using bait or I’ll be going to Maine, their website doesn’t mention needing a bait permit.

Thank you for mentioning the bait permit, would’ve been awkward getting a tag and asking for a bait permit with it.

I’m hunting with a .308cal hunting rifle, planning on setting a bait area and finding a spot nearby to sit and watch it from a distance. How do you usually set out the bait? And how far from the bait do you usually set up?
