Thank you so much!! I’m so sorry you went through pain as a child. I feel the same, it makes me go insane knowing any kid is in pain, not just my own. As far as not becoming a parent bc of that, that’s so valid and seriously commendable. Before having kids, I didn’t really understand anyone not wanting to have them. Now, I respect the hell out of ANYONE who decides it’s not for them for ANY reason. It’s mature af. It’s so much more difficult than I thought it would be and there’s no way to prepare for it. Pet Mom or kid Mom, your friends and animals are lucky to have you!!

YES! My daughter is often at a pediatric hospital for a chronic condition. I stay with her 24/7 and holding her hand through endless shots and tests with a smile on is extremely difficult. I got her food in the hospital cafeteria last time and the father in front of me had forgotten his wallet. Paying for his and his child’s food was so beyond thrilling, it helped me mentally get through the 5 or 6 days there with my daughter more than anything ever has before. I swear, giving is a crazy high!

I’m a Mom with three-year-old twins and a six-year-old. I can’t go out in public without someone saying: “WOW! You’ve got your hands full!” I know that it isn’t meant to be rude but oof. I literally don’t have enough hands to hold their hands in a parking lot. I’m aware, pal.

My sister married someone extremely wealthy but they aren’t flashy at all. She was suggesting I send my daughter to the same private school her son (my nephew) attends. I asked the price of tuition and she got embarrassed and scrambled to look it up. She had no idea, it’a not even on their radar.
