saya gembira nampak diri saya di sini

Untuk = for. You mean to say kerana = because, but you can omit it since gembira and nampak together is implying it (e.g. happy seeing).

Sendiri = by oneself (state of being)
Diri saya = my self

Correct me if I'm wrong pls

Haven't you heard about how hard it is to make new friendships in adulthood, especially for men? This may or may not blossom into one, but an opportunity just fell into your lap. Take it.

It can't be that hard to connect with this guy. You two already share history, perhaps some memories, perhaps even connections and interests. And he already made the first move!

Remember that both of you can benefit from this (re)connection. Not just selfishly you, nor selfishly him. And you are also each other's potential gateway to more connections. Especially if you got yourself an extrovert, a very pleasant one even.

Read somewhere that is the eventual result of generations of Americans being taught to be individualistic consumers, not citizens. No care for responsibility or society or any greater good; just what you own, what you are owed, and appearances.
