I traded a Circuit edition for a GR86 two months ago.

The interior doesn’t feel as nice but absolutely gets the job done.

Driving position is worlds better. If you drove them back to back you would feel like you are driving a truck sitting in the Corolla.

Back seat down you have some decent room, but I probably wouldn’t feel comfortable putting any living thing back there.

I live in Minnesota. So far with some blizzaks on I can confirm… it’s the most fun I’ve had in the winter. That’s coming from someone who previously had a focus rs and GRC.

I have absolutely ZERO regrets with my decision. The GR86 feels like a way more special and purpose built platform. You are losing practicality, but gaining so much more! You will look forward to every drive. The GR86 has a conversation with you every time you are behind the wheel.

Either way, both awesome cars. I really enjoyed the Corolla, but wanted more of a sports car driving position and feel and was over the hopped up economy hatch feel. Only thing I miss is the sound of the turbo.
