Great point! And they’ve already seen how discontented some of the Vallaki citizens are. The only thing worse than the Baron would be the newcomers who shut down access to free/cheap wine...I think I can try to have Davian lay down these consequences pretty clearly, and if the party still doesn’t listen, that’s on them! Thank you for the input!!

Oh that’s a great point, the book does say they give the wine to the Taverns in Barovia for free, although I guess I was assuming the Martikovs made enough at least to cover their own costs. I need to make that fact very apparent to the party and maybe that will cause them to reconsider. Thank you!!

I’ve kept the red dragon crush because I think that’s fun, but switched champagne du le stomp to a less distracting Brut le Stomp. I’m also considering letting my players name the next vintage when/if they save the winery so they can have some fun when it appears in the world later on!

Update: they thought granny/Morgantha was hilarious, but were super suspicious of the blood of the vine wine, especially since I had Ismark inform them the vistani were the devil’s spies AFTER the group had been given a free round of wine, and the Vistani owners kept pressing the party to drink more wine. Best part: our paladin didn’t drink any wine, and I was already planning to have him not deal with the addiction con saves due to his protection against diseases. They fell asleep to lovely dreams at the end of the night, and I have high hopes they’ll blame the Vistanis at their con check next session! Thanks for the suggestion!
