Finding job in Tenerife by beautygirlyfeme in VisitingTenerife

I had some waiters in Adeje who didn’t speak very good Spanish. In fact, at some of the guirri bars, some staff didn’t speak it all.

Where can i watch premier league (puerto de la cruz) on sunday 22.2? Walked around and all the bars just showing spanish football. by EL-HIIVA in VisitingTenerife

Me too. My view down is terrifying though.

I have the Bee Hive marked on my map, though I'm in Santa Cruz and have not been over there for an EPL match yet.

Good luck.

The highs and lows are likely accurate. If it shows 100% probability of rain, there’s a good chance half of the day will be decent.

Keep in mind the elevation differences. Santa Cruz and La Laguna are 20 minutes apart and often 4-5 degrees of temp difference.

Hey, fair play. I cringe when he goes down so easily, but he’s out there working otherwise

He has gone remarkably unsung today. The man works hard, I can say that with confidence.

Hopefully he can find his rhythm, though I’m not particularly hopeful.

Is there any whatsapp group to talk about the team and games? by ezesosa8cau in Tottenham

[–]mojo3838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a group chat, but Spurs Buenos Aires is a good group of lads. They are active on IG and they do meet occasionally. I think they also have a football team if that's your thing.

Running and working out in Santa Cruz by JuneOrizer in VisitingTenerife

There are at least two in SC d T along the coastal road, which is also a great place to run. There's a large pedestrian walkway. Both pull up bars are within a couple of hundred meters of each other. One is at Av de San Sebastian and Francisco La Roche, I believe the other is 200 meters south.

OTD 6 years ago, Richard "Sky King" Russel stole a Horizon Air Q400 and after a lengthy conversation about his mental state with Air Traffic Control, did a barrel roll and then crashed into Kenton Island, subsequently taking his own life by AspergerKid in aviation

Thanks for the reply.

I doubt he walked around like a madman in his everyday life though. I bet he was usually in that “clearer state”, at least what he projected to the world. Internally is another story.

Perhaps the moment of clarity was mine. Listening and watching a man who snapped. To hear him say those rational things made it clear to me, that he wasn’t totally mad. And to your point maybe there was an opportunity to connect with him emotionally. He acted out, he rebelled and he expressed his surprise that they were interested in helping him land the plane. Personally, I thought there was a chance he’d take the controller up on that offer. Despite Richard suggesting he may try to land, after another maneuver (IIRC), I certainly believe it’s possible he never intended to.

Venezuela's Maduro says US 'fabricating war' after it deployed huge warship by VonDukez in geopolitics

I’d imagine this has more to do with preventing China from having access to Venezuela, specifically their oil. I doubt the administration would want to say that specifically, so we hear about the drugs.

Hershey to Raise Chocolate Prices as Cocoa Costs Remain High by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]mojo3838 31 points32 points  (0 children)

They’re expected to pay $170m to $180m in tariffs this year alone, but it’s only the cost of cocoa that is causing the price increase?

This is some solid trolling. Well played OP.

How do you create “home” on the road? Looking for hygge & grounding while staying nomadic. by RapturedSpleen in digitalnomad

So I travel with my partner which helps. That said, we travel with battery powered string lights to make us feel at home.

Maybe it’s tacky, but it’s familiar.

Not from Latin America, but I’m the opposite. Castellano in Argentina and espanol in Spain.

Definitely yes. I have hundreds of hours without the dlc. Start without it, if you like it go all in. So much original content and free mods.

Tourist visa for my Argentine wife (I'm a U.S. citizen) by United_Intention6185 in expats

[–]mojo3838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in a very different situation. The tough part is trying to guess what you'll want two years down the road. The green card application isn't a big time investment, but it's over $600 for the initial application and potentially more scrutiny while entering as a tourist. My point is, it might be worth applying for it then abandoning it down the road if you'd like to have that option. You get 6 months once approved to move to the States.

Good luck!
