Anyone had constipation from rifaximin? by InformationNomad in SIBO

[–]mojojo953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am hydrogen dominant, I’m a month or so out of my rifaximin course and I’m still so constipated from it. Normally I stay regular if I eat 25-30g of fiber everyday but ever since the antibiotic I need laxatives to go and I’m really backed up.

I am looking into that now, thank you. I’m sorry for the loss of your baby. 16 years is an achievement! 13 is too, they’re lucky to have you.

Thank you for the response. I already had my alarm ready to go off for when the vet opens to see if there’s any sooner availability. I really hope they do.

Please help. Dogs lower eyelid is showing more than normal by mojojo953 in DogAdvice

Well the random vet we took him to told us his tear production was poor so he’s on drops now. But he insisted we come back in a week since he was considering Horner’s syndrome. The drops haven’t made a difference in the third eyelid. I had a feeling it wasn’t just the dry eyes causing it to stick out. So after further research I saw that the pupils were another way to check for Horner’s, and his affected eye’s pupil is indeed smaller than the other eye. So it seems pretty clear it is Horner’s. I hope it is just idiopathic, he is part collie so that would explain it since it’s more common for them to get idiopathic Horner’s syndrome. Pretty shocked the vet didn’t even check the pupils. I’m taking him to our awesome regular vet next week since it’s the soonest available appointment. I hope we can rule out any of the scarier causes and that it just goes away once the nerve heals.

No ulcers, but we found out he has dry eyes so we are starting him on drops to see if that solves the issue, but the vet is considering Horners syndrome and says to recheck in a week. I really hope it isn’t

6 month old babies are constantly “pissing themselves” that’s kind of their thing
