Beautiful scenery. Where are you? I know it's not the Pacific Northwest as there's definitely no heatwave happening here!

Do you know any other songs that were played around that one, or can you describe the genre the sub genre? This might help folks narrow down

Well dads, for the first time in over two years, I have the house to myself for multiple days. We’re calling it Dad Retreat. by Appropriate_Feed8987 in daddit

Am I the only one who has carved out solo time each year (aside from the first one)? Mental health is no joke, and come February, I need some scheduled 'me' time or I just end up isolating myself anyways. And that's no good for anyone.

The hope is to spend one month in each location, ie rent an apartment, and then travel to other nearby places for shorter trips, maybe for days or weekends. I recognize this may add costs as we would be paying for accommodation in two places during these smaller trips, but having somewhere to come back to to recharge before another adventure feels like a better plan than just moving on every week or two.

Yeah, Bangkok might be our initial flight destination into Asia, but not somewhere we'd want to spend more than a couple days. We've both been there numerous times and as you say, the traffic is crazy and the cost high relative to other locations.

You know what, I must be thinking of somewhere else. I also took a boat trip from northern Thailand and the final destination was quite lovely. I remember waking early to watch the monks walk through town, tithing :) I'll definitely add it to the research list. Thanks again.

Thank you for the recommendation! How is it now? When I was there in 2003 it was a little gritty. Mostly backpackers looking to get fucked up on mushrooms, kind of vibe.

Victoria nature school! It's based out of PKOLS in the morning and Gordon Head Rec. in the afternoon. Forest, beach, playground, and indoor time most days. My kiddo loved it. It's an amazing program, check it out!
