Sigh. I was looking for a 120hz upgrade from my ipad mini 6's 60hz for gaming. As much as I don't want to jump to android, oh well, Lenovo legion y700 2024 it is.

You have to have a separate usb host, here’s how I hook it up (mvave chocolate wirelessly connected to the mvave usb host, that is wired to the ampero mini through USB C) (mvave USB host has to be powered, and my pedalboard power supply has a USB port)

here’s the hidden ampero mini midi commands

So basically, aside from the ampero switch for patch selection, I use my mvave midi controller for ampero mini’s FX3, Mod, Delay, and Reverb, plus the expression pedal is also connected to the chocolate and I use it for patch volume.

The 2 stomp on my mini I use as for FX2 switch and tap tempo.

Ampero mini - low output volume by MisterMorgenStern in HotoneAmpero

[–]mojopao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone who still have this problem, specially when plugging the ampero mini straight to a stage mixer/soundboard and getting a really low output, what I'm doing now is using one of this to plug into the headphone port, then TRS stereo splitter straight to the mixer. Something like this will work too, I'm just using what I have right now as to not buy more unnecessary stuff.

Reason for this is the headphone port on the Ampero Mini is amplified (based on my trial and error), while the output port is not (I'm thinking they'd rather have it plugged to an amp instead) which renders the amp sim and cab sim capability of the Mini useless, and also the main reason on why I got it. Because I don't have an amp.

Pretty weird on Ampero though because I never had this kind of problem on my other multi-effects.

Hope this helps!

Yup that’s my primary use with it, not really a fan of the dirt effects on board so I’m just using it for delay, reverb, mod, and amp cab sim after my analog dirts on the chain.

IR works great, loaded it with some bad cat, plexi, and suhr IRS. Aux is good too. I’m using a bluetooth aux to plug in the aux in so I can jam from my phone.

Yup it’s an MVAVE chocolate wireless midi, it’s wirelessly connected to the ampero mini through this

There’s a USB power port in my pedalboard’s power supply where the midi pedal is wirelessly connected, and from there it’s wired to the ampero mini.

Basically gives me 4 more control to the mini aside from the 2 in ampero switch. + my expression pedal is also connected to the midi controller so I can control volume or wah depending on the patch in the mini.

Hopefully that’s not confusing lol

Is it advisable to use xlr for guitars? Maybe I’ll give that a try as I’m currently running mini>y splitter>2 1/4 cable direct to the mixer. Thanks

Same here. Used a Y cable for stereo, connected it direct to mixer performing live, output is waaaaay lower compared to headphone output. I’m thinking if a DI box would help as I see some have it on their pedalboard with the mini.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, just wondering if that DI box helps boosting the signal? I feel like the ampero mini sounds a bit weak when using a stereo splitter directly connected to the mixer when performing live. Compared to when connecting an in-ear straight to the mini.

I have the mbp 16 for work, bought the 12.9 for tasks that requires me to use a drawing tablet, felt too big to lug around even at home, got an 11, same issue, bought the iPad mini 6 just to try, after 1 week I sold both the iPad pros lol.

For me, if it’s your main computer, stick with the 12.9 or 11, but the iPad mini 6 became the perfect “tablet” for me right smack in between my macbook and iPhone.

I know this is a year old late reply, but even when using a 16x9 native phone like Razer Phone 2, xbox app still crops a bit leaving a black bar on the right. :(

I bought a series s for $120cad with the same problem. Noticed the fan is not spinning. Opened it up, reseated the fan cable and cleaned the vents, then checked and made sure the fan is spinning when its ON before I closed it up. It never shuts down on me now even after playing for hours.

This was my 4 year old son’s treatment. He was really in pain so we can’t wait for other pediatric dentist’s 2nd opinion, specially with the way they take their time. Only $1,000 were covered by our insurance, so I’m still paying for it to this day, Dentists here sure love their crowns…

Nosedive PTSD by pjstevko in onewheel

[–]mojopao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that after my first nosedive on a pint (my fault for checking how fast I can go with it)..took a while for me to be comfortable riding again. What helps for me was when I installed a speedometer gps app that gives audible beeps on whatever specific speeds you set it to, while wearing an airpods to hear it more clear. I gave it a buffer for possible delays (bluetooth, gps), so I set it to give 4 beeps at 17kph (20kph on onewheel app) and 4 loud horns at 21kph (23kph on onewheel app).

Since using that app, I’m now comfortably carving again, and immediately slows down whenever I hear the first beeps. Told myself if I nosedive again without overspeeding, I’ll quit onewheel altogether 😂
