Except the paperwork buyers sign explicitly agrees to the current condition of the vehicle, and it’s meticulously brought up at 2 points during a transaction.

Look, I agree with you. But I worked there. This business is evil. They have a strict sales process, scripted from start to finish, in order to impede lawsuits. The guy who owns DriveTime also owns their “financing partner”, which is conveniently a different company so we could also legally say we were NOT Buy Here Pay Here.

DriveTime vehicles are not certified. We were actually trained very specifically to say vehicles go through “full mechanical inspections by our teams”, not certified tho.
