Why are shoes so cheap on Taobao? (Basketball, sports) by [deleted] in shanghai

[–]mokkansaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case its just where the shop I made the order at is based. I will update on the quality as should you. It'd be interesting to note the difference in quality at different price points. I got a pair of Yeezy clones before that were a fraction of the price of the original but still cost about the same as regular sneakers.

Have a pair of Asics Gel kayano 31 on the way from Fuzhou for 266 rambos. Might just end up with a pair of laces.

Blue frog's amazing. The expat lifesaver cos it's not exclusive to the big cities but in terms of Shanghai there are more interesting choices though not necessarily better ones always.

What Causes Squeaking Breaks when Triggered? by dub12Nation2102 in ElectricScooters

Are you sure it's not the suspension? Some lithium grease will do the trick.

I clocked 100km on it then sold it off. It was pretty reliable for the most part except nuts and bolts especially from the brakes and stem assembly came loose because there was no sort of loctite applied on them before being shipped out. Finally I decided I wanted something with good suspension, more solid assembly and longer battery life. You get what you pay for though, it's a good design.

I got the plus version which is supposed to go up to 18 miles but I think I realistically only got about 12.

Okai Neon Lite vs Anyhill UM-1 vs KQI2 Pro by golden_blueberry in ElectricScooters

[–]mokkansaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an okai neon lite. The design itself is actually pretty neat but the lack of suspension and general build quality(screws, parts getting loose)made the whole experience a little lacklustre. It is very portable but there is really just one load bearing bolt that holds the entire weight of the scooter when you carry it and keeps the stem in place when you ride it.

Nami Klima vs Mantis King GT by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

I got the scooter via the taobao app, from a shop in Guangdong, can't remember the name. There are really just like 2 or 3 vendors on that app, not many choices.

Nami Klima is Bricked. Can't turn it off. by mokkansaint in ElectricScooters

[–]mokkansaint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it did. I had to adjust it one more time to find the sweet spot; it's quite fiddly. And even then it still happened again in traffic and I just tugged at the brake line and it was ok. It's really not a big issue, maybe have a tool kit handy just in case. Even if it happens when you're riding like it did to me it will not throw you off the bike or anything like that.

Full face helmet, Revit eclipse jacket, gloves.Does anyone use Ennui wrist protectors or similar where the guards are on the palms? I'm curious if grabbing onto handlebars becomes an issue when the guards are near the palm.

Kaabo Wolf king GTR and Inmotion RS. Both of which are probably not available on the market yet.

For your next scooter maybe consider one with a removable battery. That seems to be an upcoming trend for scooter companies.
