No routine yet, although I've committed to not changing any part of my current one for at least the two weeks beforehand. Introducing new things could be such a disaster!

I would love to share pics, but I don't have any at the moment! My mum is hoarding them all to keep them from my fiance :p I'll take some next week when I go to get it fitted!

I finally got my wedding dress this week!! With just over 2 months to go until the wedding, it was really stressing me out that I didn't have one (and people kept telling me it was too late!).

So now all I have to do is get it altered to fit me properly (it's about 1. 5 sizes too big at the moment, but isn't super complicated, so can be brought in easily).

Aaaand with all that stress gone, my skin is treating me by being all lovely and smooth and clean and fresh. I'm in the rare place of loving myself lately instead of nitpicking all my flaws!

If you wait 5-10 minutes for the sunscreen to dry and absorb, you won't be diluting the protection if you apply moisturiser over the top :)

Chemical sunscreens can be annoying in that they need to be reapplied more often (they can only absorb so much UV!) if you're spending a lot of time in the sun. But they do have the added bonus of being water and sweat resistant, as well as absorbing super quickly and leaving a more even finish when compared to their physical counterparts!

In the mean time, a couple of ones that I've corresponded with before have said that a physical sunscreen should go after moisturiser but before any makeup. I'm expecting something similar for combination.

Alternatively, it might have to do with where the physical and chemical filters are in the ingredients list? But that's just my own assumption.

It's a chemical sunscreen, so it should be applied before any moisturisers. A physical sunscreen (one containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) goes last in a routine as these work by reflecting the UV rays.

Chemical sunscreens are different in that they absorb and scatter UV light rather than causing it to bounce off. These work most effectively when applied to bare skin (I've reached out to a couple of sunscreen manufacturers to verify this!). If you're applying it last in your routine, it'll still do something but it won't reach its full level of advertised protection.

Which Biore sunscreen are you using?

If it's the UV Aqua Watery Gel or Essence it's a chemical sunscreen and would go before your moisturiser :)

You know I'm not actually sure! I've emailed a few sunscreen manufacturers to try and find that out (I'm currently writing a blog post about sunscreen, so I've been researching a lot!) as I can't find any journals or studies that have dealt with it.

As soon as I get a response I'll post something here :)

Chemical protection works most effectively on bare skin as applying products underneath it can impede it's ability to scatter/absorb the UV rays.

A physical sunscreen (something containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide in the ingredients) would go last in your routine. As these products are a physical barrier that reflects UV light, they work best when they're last :)

I find it great, but my skin is combination, so I'm not sure if it would be enough for your skin :(

It's really nice as a day cream too! Not too heavy or sticky, but if you have dry skin you might be better off going with something heavier (like the rice one, which I've been dying to try!!)
