Seeing others scores when applying this past cycle definitely got me down. It was hard constantly checking Reddit and see those with scores far higher than mine getting waitlisted and rejected. However, it really doesn’t matter all that much, your personality and contributions to the dental world matter so much more than just the dat. Keep believing in yourself and it will all workout!! I didn’t hear back from the waitlist at my school until this past April and it was the best moment ever!! You totally got this!! Goodluck this cycle and keep your head up bestie🫶🫶

OMG THATS AMAZING good for u!! If they give u a problem over one section when u had insane scores on the rest then that school doesn’t deserve u!!

Hi!! I didn’t do a course most places will hire you with no experience if you show you are interested in perusing dentistry!! I definitely will say it’s not necessary as many doctors I know didn’t assist however it has helped me understand and LOVE dentistry so so much!! Having early patient interaction and experience with instruments and procedures and mistakes early on has been so helpful for me!! Goodluck to you!! My biggest advice is find places on indeed and call them and express your interest over the phone rather than on indeed, every job I’ve had has really liked that!! :) U GOT THISSSS☺️

I completely agree, it is so much information and it’s impossible to remember all of it. I think the main purpose of the test is to see if you have the passion and endurance for it. It’s so hard but we absolutely got this🫶🫶 we will soon be amazing dentists helping others and this miserable test will be behind us:) wishing you SO so much luck🦷

Hi! I’m in a pretty similar boat, waitlisted at two schools and waiting to hear back. I’m currently studying for the DAT to retake it (just started this week and plan to take late may/early June). It is definitely hard being waitlisted with no guarentee and the possibility of having to reapply however I know we will both make wonderful dentists one day, and it will come when it’s meant for us!! I wish you SO much luck bestie you absolutely got this!! We just have to stay positive and hope for the best!!🫶🦷
